Nic Salt E-Liquids

The e-liquid that actually makes sense in a pod kit. Nic salts absorb faster than freebase; the throat hit stays smooth even at 20mg, and the 50/50 blend wicks properly through the small coil ports that low-wattage devices rely on.

This collection covers 10ml nic salts from Bar Juice 5000, Elfliq, Hayati Pro Max, SKE Crystal Salts, Nasty Juice, Dinner Lady, and more. Strengths at 10mg and 20mg. Fruit, ice, menthol, dessert, tobacco, drinks.

Every bottle is TPD compliant, 10ml, capped at the UK maximum of 20mg/ml. Age-verified checkout, over 18s only. Going through a few bottles a week? The Plunder Packs cut the per-bottle cost.

What Are Nic Salts?

What Are Nic Salts?

Short version: a smoother form of nicotine that hits faster.

Longer version. Freebase nicotine, the type used in most traditional e-liquids, has a high pH. That is why it scratches your throat once you get above about 12mg. Nic salts use benzoic acid to bring that pH down, so 20mg feels firm but smooth instead of raw.

Your body absorbs the nicotine quicker too, which is why one or two draws from a nic salt can genuinely satisfy in a way that six draws of weak freebase cannot.

Thing is, nic salts were not invented as a gimmick. Pod kits needed them. A small device running a 0.8ohm coil at 12W does not chuck out enough vapour to deliver decent nicotine from a 3mg freebase liquid. You would be puffing constantly and getting nowhere. Nic salts at 20mg fixed that. One proper draw, real satisfaction, done.

Nic Salts vs Freebase

People mix these up, and it matters because putting the wrong one in the wrong device ruins the experience.

Nic salts run a thin 50/50 VG/PG ratio. Made for refillable pod kits and MTL coils above 0.6ohm. Smooth at 10mg and 20mg. Fast nicotine absorption. You vape less per session because each draw does more.

Freebase runs thicker. 70/30 or 80/20 VG/PG ratios, lower nicotine at 3mg to 6mg, bigger clouds. Built for sub-ohm tanks and high-wattage kits. The throat hit is sharper, which works fine at 3mg but becomes genuinely unpleasant above 12mg.

So which do you need? Check your coil. Above 0.6ohm, nic salt. Below 0.6ohm, freebase. That one number tells you almost everything.

And no, you cannot just use 20mg nic salt in a sub-ohm tank because you want a stronger hit. The nicotine delivery would be overwhelming, honestly borderline nauseating. MTL devices only.

Choosing Your Strength

Two choices. Not complicated.

20mg. The UK legal maximum. Right for ex-smokers, former disposable users, anyone who needs each draw to actually do something.

If you have just come off cigarettes or a disposable kit, start here. You can always step down later, and most people do eventually, but starting too low leads to chain vaping and frustration.

10mg works for lighter vapers or people stepping down from 20mg. The throat hit softens, satisfaction comes a touch slower, but it is still noticeably quicker than freebase at the same strength. Some vapers bounce between the two depending on the time of day. 20mg in the morning, 10mg in the evening. Fair enough.

Both strengths across every flavour. No compromises there.

Flavours

Fruit and ice dominate. Watermelon ice, mango ice, blue razz, strawberry kiwi. They show up in every brand's range because they sell, and honestly, they sell because they are good. Bar Juice 5000 and Elfliq own this space.

Menthol is its own thing. Not fruity, not sweet, just cool. Reliable all-day option when fruit flavours start feeling like too much after a few weeks of the same rotation.

Dessert profiles bring warmth. Caramel, vanilla, biscuit, cream. Nasty Juice Podmate and Dinner Lady are stronger here than most competitors. Worth knowing: sweeter liquids gunk coils faster, so you will replace pods more often with a heavy dessert rotation. Not a dealbreaker, just a running cost to factor in.

Tobacco is there for the people who want it. Not many nic salt brands do it well, but the ones that do get close enough to satisfy ex-smokers who miss that familiar taste. Menthol tobacco bridges the gap if straight tobacco feels flat.

Drinks. Cola, lemonade, energy drink, coffee. Smaller category, but popular with vapers who rotate a lot and want something that does not taste like fruit.

New to nic salts? Grab a watermelon ice or mango ice from any of the main brands. Those two flavours are the benchmark. If a brand gets those right, the rest of the range is usually solid too.

Which Devices Work?

The coil resistance tells you everything. If it sits above 0.6ohm and the device runs between 8W and 15W, nic salts belong in it.

Most pod kits on the market fall into that bracket. Vaporesso builds the XROS series around exactly this kind of liquid. Uwell's Caliburn line is the same story. SMOK's Novo range, the OXVA Xlim kits, Aspire's Gotek devices, Innokin's smaller pen setups.

All of them pull a 50/50 nic salt through without issue. If you bought a compact refillable kit in the last couple of years, odds are good it was designed with nic salts in mind.

Big-puff kits are a separate thing entirely. The Hayati Pro Ultra Plus comes with prefilled pods that already have e-liquid sealed inside. You would not open those and pour nic salt in. This collection is strictly for refillable devices where you add your own liquid from a bottle.

Sub-ohm tanks and high-wattage mods? Leave the nic salt on the shelf. Already explained why above. Wrong ratio, wrong strength, wrong everything.

Filling and Priming

Takes about a minute. Do it properly, and every pod lasts longer.

Open the fill port on your pod. Tilt the bottle nozzle against the inside wall, not down the centre where the airflow tube sits. Fill to just below the max line and close the port. Overfilling causes flooding, gurgling, and liquid spitting back into your mouth. Not pleasant.

Fresh pod or fresh coil? Leave it alone for five minutes. The cotton inside has to pull liquid through on its own, and if you fire the device before that happens, you burn the wick permanently. No fixing a charred coil. Just a wasted pod and a horrible taste.

A couple of gentle primer puffs help. Inhale without pressing the fire button. That draws liquid into the wick faster. Then start at low wattage.

When to Restock

A 10ml bottle lasts most MTL vapers somewhere between two and five days. Heavy vapers, two days. Light vapers, closer to a week. Three bottles a week is a reasonable average for someone who vapes regularly throughout the day.

Running out mid-week with nothing in the drawer is what sends people back to the corner shop for something they do not actually want. Keep a few bottles ahead. The nic salt bundles make that cheaper, and buying five or ten at once means you are not placing an order every few days.

Getting More From Your Nic Salts

Prime every new pod. Already said it, saying it again. Four to five minutes minimum. Skipping this is the single most common mistake.

Stick to 50/50 or 60/40 VG/PG. Thicker ratios clog the small wicking ports on pod coils and cause dry hits. Your kit was not designed for thick liquid.

Keep the pod topped up. Vaping a pod down to empty burns the exposed cotton and kills the coil early. Top it up before it gets low.

Rotate flavours. Sweet liquids build residue on coils faster than plain fruit or menthol. Alternating between a dessert and something cleaner extends coil life noticeably.

Store bottles upright, out of sunlight, at room temperature. Simple.

FAQs

What strength should I pick?

20mg for ex-smokers, disposable switchers, and heavy vapers. 10mg for lighter use or stepping down. Both available across every flavour.

How are nic salts different from freebase?

Smoother throat hit, faster absorption, made for pod kits at 10mg and 20mg. Freebase is sharper, works at lower strengths in sub-ohm setups. Different tools for different devices.

What devices can I use?

Refillable pod kits running coils above 0.6ohm in the 8 to 15W range. That includes most compact kits from Vaporesso, Uwell, SMOK, OXVA, and Aspire. Avoid sub-ohm setups entirely.

How long does a 10ml bottle last?

Depends on how much you vape. Two to five days is typical. Lower wattage stretches it further.

Can I put nic salts in a sub-ohm tank?

No. Too much nicotine per draw, and the thin ratio floods high-wattage coils. Pod kits only.

What is the UK legal limit?

20mg/ml maximum strength, 10ml maximum bottle. Every nic salt here meets those TPD requirements.

Do you do multi-buy deals?

Yes. Plunder Packs for bundle pricing. Orders over £40 ship free with Free Pirate Post.

Which flavour to start with?

Watermelon ice or mango ice. Consistently popular across brands and a solid benchmark for quality. Go from there.
