Product Warranty

Every device we sell is covered against genuine manufacturing faults. This page sets out the warranty period for each type of product, what is and is not covered, and how to make a claim. It is provided in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which it does not replace. If you have simply changed your mind, see our Return Policy instead.

Warranty periods at a glance

The periods below follow the common UK industry standard.

Product Warranty period Typical lifespan and notes

Vape kits, pod kits, and mods

6 months

Covered against manufacturing faults. Approximate life expectancy of 12 months. Keep the box and any outer sleeve, as the serial number is printed on it.

Chargers, cables, and cases

6 months

Covered against electrical faults, such as a failure to charge.

Prefilled pods

3 months

Covered against manufacturing faults only. Approximate shelf life of 1 year. Stated puff counts are an estimate and vary with how you vape — significantly lower counts can result from longer draws.

Refillable pods, coils, tanks, and drip tips

Faulty on arrival only

Consumable parts with a variable lifespan. Not covered by warranty unless faulty on arrival.

E-liquids and nic salts

Faulty on arrival only

Sealed consumable goods. Not covered unless faulty or incorrect on arrival.

Faulty on arrival

If a product is faulty straight out of the box, report it within 3 days of delivery. Contact us and, once the fault is confirmed, we arrange a free replacement. For consumable items such as pods, coils, tanks, and e-liquids, a fault on arrival is the only cover that applies.

Faults within the warranty period

For a device that develops a genuine manufacturing fault inside its warranty period, such as a charging failure, a dead fire button or sensor, a screen fault, or an internal fault, we arrange a repair, replacement, or refund after the item has been inspected.

Before you claim: quick checks

Most problems are quick fixes, and trying these first can save you a return:

  • Charge the device fully using the supplied or an approved cable.

  • Check the device is switched on. Many devices turn on and off with five quick presses of the button.

  • Make sure the pod or coil is fitted correctly. For refillables, prime a new coil and check it is not flooded or dried out.

  • Wipe the contacts on both the device and the pod.

If it still will not work, contact us, and we will help.

What is not covered

The warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear, including scratches, fading, discolouration, and the gradual decline of battery life over time,

  • accidental damage, drops, crushing, or any liquid or water damage,

  • damage caused by misuse, over-tightening, or charging with an incompatible or non-approved charger or cable,

  • devices that have been opened, modified, tampered with, or repaired by anyone other than the manufacturer or Treat Verse Ltd,

  • failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions, or to carry out normal cleaning and maintenance,

  • consumable parts, including coils, pods, tanks, seals, and drip tips, beyond a fault on arrival.

Consumables and lifespan

Coils, pods, and tanks are consumable and wear out with use. A drop in flavour or a burnt taste is the sign to fit a fresh one, not a fault.

Battery safety

To protect your device and stay safe, charge only with the supplied or a compatible approved cable, do not leave a device charging unattended for long periods, keep devices away from extreme heat, and stop using any device that is damaged, swollen, or overheating. Damage caused by misuse is not covered.

How to make a claim

  1. Contact support@piratevapes.co.uk with your order number, the product, and a clear description of the fault. A photo or short video helps.

  2. We confirm whether the fault is covered and issue a returns authorisation reference.

  3. If we need the item back, return it in its original packaging, where the serial number is printed, using a service with proof of postage. Keep your proof of purchase.

  4. We test the item. If it is faulty, we repair, replace, or refund it. If no fault is found, we return it to you.

Manufacturer warranties

Some devices also carry a manufacturer warranty. Where one applies, we will help you make a claim or point you to the manufacturer. A manufacturer warranty is in addition to, and does not reduce, your legal rights.

Your statutory rights

This warranty is provided by Treat Verse Ltd (trading as Pirate Vapes) and is in addition to your rights under UK consumer law. It does not replace them. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described, and you have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receiving them.
