Voopoo Coils

Voopoo coils revolve around one clever idea: the PnP platform, a single press-fit coil family that drops into a huge spread of Voopoo devices.

This collection brings that platform together with everything around it, from the newer PnP X range and the sub-ohm TPP mesh to the tiny ITO pod heads and the older UFORCE tank coils.

If you run a Drag, a Vinci or an Argus, there is a very good chance a PnP head is what you need, and the rest of the range covers the tanks and pods that sit outside it. Pin down your coil family, pick a resistance to match your draw, and reorder in a couple of taps.

Everything here is genuine UK-market stock, so it seats cleanly and reads at the resistance printed on the pack.

A coil is hardware and contains no nicotine of its own. The e-liquid you run through it can, and nicotine is addictive, so purchases here pass through an age-verified checkout open to over-18s only.

What Are Voopoo Coils?

What Are Voopoo Coils?

A coil is the small heating head that vaporises your e-liquid, and like all coils, it is a wear part you replace as it tires. Voopoo's approach is what makes its range easy to shop once you get the hang of it.

Rather than a separate coil for every single device, most Voopoo pod mods share the PnP platform, a press-fit head that clicks into place with no threads and no tools.

Around that sit a few purpose-built families: PnP X as the newer, wider-reaching version, TPP and UFORCE for dedicated sub-ohm tanks, and ITO for the brand's most compact pods. Identify which of those your kit uses and the resistance follows from how you like to draw.

Which Voopoo Coil Does Your Device Take?

Work from your device outwards. Check the coil name on your spent head or the kit box, then match the family below.

The table lists the main coil systems, the draw they suit, and the kinds of devices they belong to. Exact resistances differ within each family, and the live selector is the place to see what is stocked.

#table
Coil family: Draw style: Typical resistances: Belongs to
PnP: MTL through to DTL, press-fit: 0.15ohm up to 1.2ohm: Drag X, Drag S, Drag Max, Drag 4, Drag Baby Trio, Vinci, Vinci R, Vinci X, Vinci 2, Argus 40W, Argus Air, Argus Pro, Navi, UForce-L tank, PnP pods
PnP X: DTL, RDL and MTL, press-fit: roughly 0.15ohm to 1.0ohm: Drag 5, Drag 6, Drag S2, Drag X2, Drag S3, Drag X3, Argus Pro 2, Doric 60 Pro, Vinci E120, Vinci Spark, UForce-X tank
TPP: Sub-ohm DTL mesh: around 0.15ohm to 0.3ohm: TPP tank, Drag 3, Drag X Plus and TPP-compatible pod mods
UFORCE (U series): Sub-ohm DTL: around 0.2ohm to 0.4ohm: UFORCE, UFORCE T1 and T2 sub-ohm tanks
ITO: Tight MTL to restricted DTL: around 0.7ohm to 1.2ohm: Doric, Argus pod, Drag Q and other compact ITO pods

One thing to hold onto: matching the family matters more than matching the exact old device. A PnP head made for a Vinci will happily run in many Drags and Arguses, but it will not fit a TPP tank or an ITO pod. Availability shifts, so let the live grid confirm which families and resistances are in stock.

Is the Voopoo PnP Platform Really Cross-Compatible?

Largely, yes, and that is the appeal. The original PnP head was designed to move freely across the Drag, Vinci, and Argus pod-mod lines, so one coil you like can serve several devices in your drawer.

PnP X then widened the net: it keeps that press-fit fitment, carries the newer mesh, and stays backward compatible with the original PnP series, though the pods differ.

Worth knowing is that a PnP X DTL pod accepts the full PnP X resistance spread, while a PnP X MTL pod is built for the higher-resistance heads only.

If in doubt, check the resistance against your pod type before you fire it. That single platform is why Voopoo owners tend to settle on a favourite coil and stick with it across upgrades.

Are Voopoo Coils MTL or DTL?

You will find both across the range, and the number on the coil is your guide. Higher-resistance heads above 1.0ohm, such as the PnP-TR1 at 1.2ohm or the ceramic PnP-C1, give a tight mouth-to-lung draw at low wattage and pair well with stronger nic salt.

Mid-range heads around 0.6ohm to 0.8ohm loosen the draw into restricted lung territory. The mesh sub-ohm heads, like the PnP-VM6 at 0.15ohm or the TPP mesh, run hot on higher power for full direct-to-lung clouds.

Choose by the draw you already prefer, keep inside the wattage window printed on the coil, and the same device can swing from a cigarette-style pull to a cloud machine just by swapping heads.

How Do You Change a Voopoo Coil?

Press-fit heads make this fast, and the trick is to prime before you fire.

  1. Detach the pod or empty the tank first, so you are not fighting a full reservoir.
  2. Grip the old coil and pull it straight out of the pod, or lift it from the tank base.
  3. Trickle e-liquid into the wicking windows on the new head until the cotton darkens.
  4. Push the fresh coil firmly home until it clicks and sits flush, with no gap at the seal.
  5. Refit the pod or tank, top up, and rest it upright for five to ten minutes.
  6. Take a couple of gentle primer puffs, then fire inside the coil's rated wattage.

A head that is not pushed fully home is the usual reason a Voopoo pod weeps around the base, so seat it with a bit of confidence. The soak afterwards is what stops that first draw from scorching dry cotton.

When Should You Replace a Voopoo Coil?

Somewhere between a few days and a couple of weeks is typical, and the liquid you run decides where in that window you land. Sweet and dark high-VG juices gum the mesh quickly, while cleaner 50/50 blends let a head go the distance.

The signs are easy to read: flavour goes dull, vapour thins, and eventually a burnt edge arrives. That burnt note on a freshly fitted coil is almost always a priming or power issue rather than a faulty head.

It usually means the wick was fired before it soaked, the wattage was set above the coil's band, or it was pulled on hard from cold. Prime it properly, ease the power back, and give the wick a moment, and the problem generally disappears.

Which E-Liquid Suits Voopoo Coils?

Match the liquid to the coil and both last longer. Tighter MTL heads such as the PnP-TR1 and the ITO pod coils wick thinner liquid best, so pair them with nic salt e-liquids up to 20mg or a 50/50 blend for a firm, low-power draw.

The mesh sub-ohm heads in the PnP, PnP X, TPP and UFORCE families want thicker fuel, so high-VG e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths keep up with the wattage and protect the wick.

Put thick, high-VG juice through a narrow MTL head, and it cannot draw liquid fast enough, which is where most dry hits come from. Get the pairing right, and the flavour stays clean from first fill to last.

Are Voopoo Coils Genuine and UK Compliant?

Every head in this collection is genuine Voopoo stock brought in for the UK market, which is what guarantees the press-fit seats properly and the resistance reads true.

Counterfeits are the usual suspects behind leaks, misfires, and coils that fade within a day, so buying the real thing from a proper retailer saves money in the long run.

On the rules, coils are hardware, not nicotine products, so they hold no MHRA notification and carry no TPD compliance badge. Those requirements apply to nicotine e-liquids and finished devices, not to an empty coil. Coils do play a legal role in a different sense.

Since single-use disposables were removed from sale across the UK on 1 June 2025, a lawful vape has to be reusable, meaning a rechargeable battery, a refillable or replaceable container, and a replaceable coil where the design calls for one.

A pack of Voopoo replacement coils supplies that last requirement, keeping a compliant kit in service instead of the bin. Compliant does not mean safe, so only run these heads with liquids that suit your device.

FAQs

Are all Voopoo coils interchangeable?

No. Voopoo coils are grouped into families for a reason, and PnP, PnP X, TPP, UFORCE and ITO are not freely swappable. The exception worth knowing is that PnP X is built to stay compatible with the original PnP series, so match the family to your device first and treat any cross-fit beyond that as the exception, not the rule.

Will a PnP X coil fit my old PnP pod?

PnP X coils are designed to remain compatible with the original PnP platform, though the pods themselves differ between generations. If you are pairing a PnP X head with a PnP X pod, remember the DTL pod takes the full resistance range while the MTL pod is meant for the higher-resistance heads only. Check the coil against your pod type before firing.

How do I know which PnP coil to buy?

Read it off the coil. The mesh VM heads, like the 0.15ohm VM6 and 0.2ohm VM5, are the cloud and sub-ohm options, while the TR and R heads at 1.0ohm to 1.2ohm are the tight MTL choices. Pick by the draw you want and stay within the wattage printed on the pack.

Why is my new Voopoo coil leaking or tasting burnt?

Both usually trace back to fitment and priming. A coil not pushed fully into the pod leaves a gap that weeps around the base, and a coil fired before the wick soaks tastes scorched. Seat it firmly until it clicks, prime the cotton, and let it stand after filling.

Can you use nic salts in Voopoo MTL coils?

Yes, and the higher-resistance PnP and ITO heads are ideal for it. A 1.2ohm coil with nic salt or 50/50 up to 20mg gives a smooth, tight draw at low power. Nicotine is addictive, so choose a strength that fits your needs.

Do Voopoo coils come in packs of five?

Most PnP and PnP X packs contain five, while some sub-ohm mesh heads and the RBA come in different counts. The exact pack size and resistance are shown on each listing, so check before you add to the basket.

Are Voopoo coils part of any multi-buy deals?

Coils are a regular reorder, so it is worth looking at the current multi-buy offers before buying a single pack. Availability changes, so go by whatever deal is displayed on the listing at the time.
