Pirate Vapes sells products that are restricted by law to adults aged 18 and over. Every customer must be 18 or over, in line with UK law. We verify the age of every customer before any order is dispatched, and this page explains how that works and what to expect.
Our age policy
You must be 18 or over to buy from piratevapes.co.uk. We operate a Challenge 25 approach, which means that if there is any doubt about whether a customer is 18, we ask for proof of age before completing the sale. Vaping products are strictly for adults, and age verification keeps our store operating responsibly and within the law. Treat Verse Ltd does not sell to anyone under 18 under any circumstances.
How we verify your age
Most customers are verified automatically at checkout. We run an electronic age check using the name, address, and payment details you provide, comparing them against trusted databases such as the electoral roll to confirm you are 18 or over. This happens in the background and is usually instant. The check is carried out securely by our age verification provider.
If the automatic check cannot confirm your age, we will ask you to send a photo of valid ID, such as a passport or driving licence, before we process your order.
Orders cannot be dispatched until you are verified
Your order cannot be dispatched until your age is confirmed. We are not able to dispatch first and verify later. If we cannot verify your age, and you are unable to provide valid ID, the order will be cancelled and refunded. If your order is held, contact us at support@piratevapes.co.uk, and we will explain what we need. Providing clear, valid ID is usually all it takes to release the order.
Proof of age on delivery
Our delivery partners may also ask for proof of age when they hand over your parcel. Higher-value orders may require a signature and ID on delivery. Orders are sent using age-restricted delivery services where required, and the carrier can refuse to leave a parcel if no one present can show they are 18 or over. Please make sure an adult is available to receive the order.

Only verified customers can take part in our Crew Rewards loyalty programme, claim discounts, and use Special Offers. Completing age verification keeps your account in good standing and means you do not need to verify again on every order.
Buying for someone under 18
It is a criminal offence to buy, or attempt to buy, age-restricted products on behalf of anyone under 18. This is known as a proxy purchase. Treat Verse Ltd will refuse or cancel any order where we believe the products are intended for someone underage.
How we handle your verification data
The personal data used to confirm your age is handled in line with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy. We use it only to run the age check and to meet our legal obligations, and we do not use it for marketing. Our age verification provider processes your data under its own privacy policy.
