This is the question that prevents a wasted order, because GTX and GTi are not swappable and fitting the wrong one simply will not seat. The quick test is the type of device.
If you run a pod mod or a pen, such as a Luxe X, a Luxe XR, a Target PM, or a GTX GO, you are on GTX. If you run a sub-ohm tank mod, such as an iTank, an Armour or a GEN paired with a tank, you are on GTi.
GTX spans the full range from tight MTL to airy DTL in one coil line, while GTi is a dedicated cloud platform that only makes sense at higher wattage. Confirm the device type, then match the platform, and the rest is straightforward.

A word of caution that Vaporesso stresses too: never force a coil that resists. GTX and GTi in particular can look alike, but they are built to different dimensions, and the wrong one can damage the device rather than just refusing to fit.

What Do GTX Resistances Mean, From MTL to DTL?
The clever thing about GTX is that a single family covers almost every style, and the resistance is your dial. Higher-resistance heads run a tight, cigarette-style draw at low power: a 1.2ohm at roughly 8 to 12 watts and a 0.8ohm at around 12 to 20 watts, both suited to stronger nic salt.
A 0.6ohm at 20 to 30 watts loosens into a warmer MTL or restricted lung draw. Drop to the 0.3ohm and 0.2ohm mesh, and you are into proper direct-to-lung territory at higher wattage with thinner, higher-VG liquid.
Stay inside the wattage window printed on each coil, and one Luxe or Target can shift from a discreet mouth-to-lung pull to a cloud-chucker just by swapping heads.
Do Vaporesso XROS Kits Use Coils or Pods?
Worth a quick note if you own an XROS. That family does not take a loose coil at all. The coil is built into the XROS pod, so when it tires, you fit a fresh pod rather than a coil, and one pod range covers the whole XROS lineup. If your device is an XROS, you want replacement pods rather than the loose heads in this collection.
How Do You Fit and Prime a Vaporesso Coil?
Both GTX and GTi reward the same short routine, and the golden rule is never to fire a dry coil.
- Empty the tank or pod first, so nothing spills while you work.
- Take out the old coil, pulling or unscrewing it depending on the tank.
- Drip e-liquid into the wicking ports of the fresh coil until the cotton is visibly wet.
- Seat the new head fully, firm but not overtightened, so it sits flush.
- Fill the tank, then leave it upright for five to ten minutes to soak through.
- Open at the lowest wattage in the coil's range and step up from there.
That soak is what saves the coil. A brand-new mesh head fired before the cotton is saturated scorches on the first pull, and once the wick is burnt, there is no reviving it.
How Long Do Vaporesso Coils Last?
Many vapers get five or six tank refills from a coil, or roughly one to two weeks of daily use, before the flavour starts to slip.
Heavy sub-ohm vaping at high wattage burns through them faster, sometimes weekly, while a light mouth-to-lung user can stretch a GTX head to two or three weeks. What you vape matters just as much: sweet and dark high-VG liquids coat the mesh and shorten its life, whereas cleaner blends let it run longer.
When the taste turns flat, or a burnt edge creeps in, the head is spent. A fresh coil that already tastes burnt was almost always fired dry or run above its wattage, so prime it well and ease off the power.
Which E-Liquid Suits Vaporesso Coils?
Match the liquid to the coil, and both perform better. The higher-resistance GTX heads, from 0.6ohm up to 1.2ohm, wick thin liquid best, so pair them with nic salt e-liquids up to 20mg or a 50/50 blend for a smooth, tight draw at low power.
The sub-ohm GTX, GTi, GT and QF heads want thicker fuel, so high-VG e-liquids at lower nicotine strengths keep up with the wattage and protect the wick.
Running thick high-VG juice through a tight MTL coil starves the cotton and gives dry hits, which is the single most common pairing mistake. Get it right, and Vaporesso's even heating does the rest.
Are Vaporesso Coils Genuine and UK Legal?
