Oxva Pods

Oxva pods are the refillable Xlim cartridges that keep one of the market's best-loved pod systems running long after the first pod has given up. You fill them from a bottle, pick the coil resistance that suits your draw, and drop in a fresh one only when the flavour dulls. It is the low-fuss, low-waste way to vape, and it is what put the Xlim in so many pockets.

The neat part is that a single Oxva pod format spans nearly the whole Xlim family, so the pod you buy today is likely to fit the next Xlim you own too. What you do have to settle is the coil resistance and the liquid you feed it, since those two choices shape the entire vape. Everything currently stocked sits in the grid below, filterable by resistance and device.

Buyers pass an age check before anything ships, and Pirate Vapes sells these Oxva replacement pods to over-18s only.

What is an Oxva Pod?

What is an Oxva Pod?

An Oxva pod is a small refillable cartridge that clips onto an Xlim device by magnet and holds both the e-liquid and, on most versions, the coil. Unlike the sealed prefilled packs that replaced disposables, it turns up empty. You add your own liquid, vape it, top it back up, and carry on, which is where the running cost drops away.

What it isn't is a throwaway. The standard Oxva Xlim pod (the current top-fill V3) has its mesh coil built in, so you replace the whole pod once the coil tires rather than the moment the liquid runs low. One pod, refilled again and again, tends to serve for a week or two before the flavour flattens and it's time for the next. That reusable design is also why the format sailed past the disposable ban untouched.

Oxva Pod Resistances Explained: 0.4Ω to 1.2Ω

The number etched on the side, measured in ohms, is the single most important thing to get right, because it decides how tight the draw feels and which liquids it likes. Oxva offers four across the range, and picking well is the difference between a satisfying vape and a disappointing one.

#table
Resistance: Draw style: Best fed
1.2Ω: Tight, cigarette-like MTL: 20mg nic salts
0.8Ω: Balanced MTL, the all-rounder: 50/50 liquids and mid-strength salts
0.6Ω: Looser MTL edging to RDL, more vapour: 50/50 freebase, lower nicotine
0.4Ω: Restricted direct-to-lung, airy and warm: Lower-strength freebase

As a rule, the higher the number, the tighter the draw and the higher the nicotine it wants; the lower the number, the airier the draw and the more vapour it throws. If you're stepping off cigarettes or a disposable, the 1.2Ω with a 20mg salt is the closest match.

One caveat: the airy 0.4Ω only runs on the higher-powered kits, namely the Xlim Pro, SE 2 and SQ Pro, so check your device handles it before you buy.

One Oxva Pod Across the Whole Xlim Range

Here is where Oxva breaks from the usual one-pod-per-device rule. The standard Xlim pod is shared right across the family, so the same cartridge drops into the Xlim SE and SE 2, the Pro, Pro 2 and Pro 3, the SQ and SQ Pro, and the Go and Go 2. Upgrade your device and your pods usually come with you, which is a rare and welcome bit of sense in a market of sealed, single-fit packs.

Read the device name off your kit all the same, since the odd resistance is device-specific, and lean on the model named in the listing rather than the photo beside it. Where a particular pod isn't showing for your Xlim, the wider replacement pods section carries spares for a broad spread of kits.

The Xlim C: The One Oxva Pod That's Different

One member of the family plays by different rules, and it's the one to watch for. The Xlim C uses its own dedicated cartridge, and rather than a built-in coil, it takes separate, swappable coils that slot into an otherwise empty pod. It's the pick for anyone who'd sooner change a cheap coil than a whole pod, but it means Xlim C pods and coils are not interchangeable with the rest of the range.

So if you own an Xlim C, buy the Xlim C cartridge and its matching coils, and steer clear of the standard pods entirely. For every other Xlim, the standard top-fill Oxva pod is the one you want.

What E-Liquid Goes in an Oxva Pod?

Because the pod arrives empty, the flavour and strength are yours to choose at the counter rather than fixed at the factory. Oxva pods are tuned for higher-PG liquids, which means nic salts and 50/50 freebase blends are the natural fit; thick high-VG shortfills are best kept out, as they struggle to wick and bring on dry hits.

Match the liquid to the coil and it all falls into place. Nic salts from 10mg to 20mg sit happiest in the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω pods, where the tighter draw suits a stronger hit; 50/50 freebase runs beautifully through the 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω. The UK ceiling of 20mg applies to whatever you pour in, and since you're filling it yourself, the strength is entirely in your hands.

How to Fill an Oxva Pod

The whole point of a top-fill pod is that this takes seconds and rarely leaves you sticky.

  1. Open the port. Lift the silicone stopper on the top of the pod; on most Xlim kits you can do this without pulling the pod off the device.
  2. Drip down the side. Angle the nozzle into the fill channel and fill slowly, keeping liquid off the central airflow tube in the middle.
  3. Seal it back up. Press the stopper firmly home so the port is fully closed, which is what keeps it leak-free in a pocket.
  4. Let it soak. On a brand-new pod, stand it upright for five to ten minutes before the first draw so the coil wicks through properly.

Skipping that soak on a fresh pod is the quickest route to a burnt first puff, so it's worth the wait once, then you can top up and go without pause thereafter.

When to Swap an Oxva Pod

A refill isn't a replacement, so a single pod carries you across many top-ups before it's spent. What tells you it's done is the flavour, not the liquid level: when the taste turns muted or faintly scorched even on a full pod, the coil has worn through and a fresh cartridge will bring the flavour straight back.

For most people that lands somewhere around a week or two per pod, though heavy use and very sweet, dark liquids shorten it, since sugary flavours gum up a coil faster. Buying pods in threes, as they're sold, means a spare is always on hand for the moment the old one fades.

Fixing a Burnt or Leaking Oxva Pod

Two niggles come up with any refillable pod, and both are usually simple. A burnt taste most often means a worn coil or a dry wick, cured by a fresh pod or, on a new one, by giving it those few minutes to soak before firing. Chain-vaping a pod faster than it can wick will scorch it too, so ease off between draws if the flavour thins.

Leaks and the odd spit tend to trace back to overfilling or liquid finding the central airflow tube during a refill, so fill a touch below the max and keep the middle clear. Storing the device upright and out of heat helps as well, since warmth thins the liquid and coaxes it through the airflow. If a genuine Oxva pod still misbehaves after all that, it may simply be a dud, and a new one settles it.

Do Oxva Pods Work Out Cheaper?

Over any stretch of time, comfortably. The sum that makes refillables win is simple: you buy a pack of pods now and again, but the liquid comes from a bottle at a fraction of the per-millilitre cost of any sealed pod or disposable. A 10ml bottle refills a 2ml pod several times over, and the more you vape, the wider that gap opens.

Set a week of disposables against a device, a three-pack of pods and a bottle or two of liquid, and the refillable route pulls ahead inside the first fortnight. Grabbing pods and liquid together often trips a multi-buy deals saving, which suits a consumable you'll reorder steadily. It's the reusable, cheaper way to vape, and the numbers make the case on their own.

Are Oxva Pods TPD Compliant and UK Legal?

Yes, and refillable pods are exactly the sort of reusable hardware UK law protects. When single-use vapes were pulled from sale on 1 June 2025, reusable kits with refillable, rechargeable parts were left standing, and an Oxva pod, filled by you and used many times over, is the reusable model in its purest form.

The pod also sits well inside the standing caps: its 2ml capacity meets the tank limit, and whatever you fill it with must be 20mg/ml or under to stay within the strength ceiling. The fuller framework sits under TPD compliant vapes. None of that makes it harmless, mind. Once filled, the pod carries nicotine; nicotine is addictive, and the checkout confirms you're over 18.

Why Buy Oxva Pods at Pirate Vapes?

With resistances, versions and one awkward exception in the mix, a listing that spells out what fits what saves a lot of guesswork. Pirate Vapes marks each Oxva pod's resistance, its fill type and the devices it suits, so you can line the pod up to your Xlim and your liquid before you order rather than gamble on a near-identical box.

Get an order in before 4 pm, and it leaves the same day; once the basket clears £40, the Free Pirate Post takes over, and a few pods and a bottle reach easily. Every sale is age-checked, and only genuine UK-market Oxva stock reaches the grid, which counts for plenty with a range this widely copied. If the pod for your kit isn't listed, read it as briefly out with us rather than gone. The full Oxva range waits at Pirate Vapes.

FAQs

Are Oxva pods refillable?

Yes. Oxva Xlim pods arrive empty and are filled from a bottle, then topped up again and again. The standard pods have a built-in coil, so you replace the whole pod once the coil wears, not every time the liquid runs low.

Which Oxva pods fit my device?

The standard Xlim pod is shared across most of the family, including the SE, SE 2, Pro, Pro 2, Pro 3, SQ, SQ Pro, Go and Go 2. The Xlim C is the exception and needs its own cartridge and separate coils.

What do the coil resistances mean?

They set the draw and the liquid to match. 1.2Ω gives a tight MTL draw for 20mg salts, 0.8Ω is a balanced all-rounder, 0.6Ω is looser with more vapour, and the airy 0.4Ω runs direct-to-lung on the Pro, SE 2 and SQ Pro only.

What e-liquid should I use in an Oxva pod?

Nic salts and 50/50 freebase blends up to 20mg. Higher-strength salts suit the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω pods; 50/50 freebase runs well in the 0.6Ω and 0.8Ω. Thick high-VG liquids aren't recommended, as they wick poorly and cause dry hits.

Is the Xlim C really different?

Yes. The Xlim C uses a dedicated empty cartridge with separate, swappable coils rather than a built-in one. Its pods and coils don't cross over with the rest of the Xlim range, so buy the C-specific parts if that's your device.

How often should I change an Oxva pod?

Judge it by taste rather than the calendar. When the flavour turns muted or scorched even on a full pod, the coil is spent, which is usually every week or two depending on how much and what you vape.

Why is my Oxva pod leaking or spitting?

Usually overfilling or liquid reaching the central airflow tube during a refill. Fill a little below the max, keep the middle clear, and store the device upright away from heat. A persistent problem on a genuine pod points to a faulty one.

Are Oxva pods TPD compliant?

Yes. The 2ml pod capacity sits within the UK tank limit, and any liquid you fill it with must be 20mg/ml or under. As a refillable, reusable system it falls the right side of the rules that removed single-use vapes.
