How to Set Up the Smok Novo Classy

Six steps. The screen guides you through most of it.

1. Charge fully. Connect the USB-C cable to the port on the side of the device. The screen shows charge percentage and estimated time to full. About 45 minutes from empty.

2. Remove the pod from the device and open the silicone fill port. CLX pods fill from the side. SLR pods fill from the top.

3. Fill with 50/50 VG/PG e-liquid. Tilt the nozzle in and fill to just below the max line. Close the port firmly and press down until it seals flat.

4. Insert the pod back into the device. It clicks into place.

5. Wait a full ten minutes. The mesh coil needs time to draw liquid into the cotton from the surrounding reservoir. Firing before the wick is saturated scorches the mesh and ruins the pod. No shortcuts on this one.

6. Inhale gently to activate, or press the fire button. The screen lights up and shows your current wattage and resistance. Adjust airflow and wattage to taste.
