VooPoo Drag H80S Pod Kit

Eighty watts from a pod kit that is 15% smaller than the Drag X. That is the Drag H80S. It runs on a single 18650 battery that you slot in through a magnetic door on the back and fires through VooPoo's GENE.TT 2.0 chip, and holds a 2ml PnP Pod II on top with a twist-to-adjust airflow that actually works properly.

Two PnP-TW mesh coils are included in the box, both utilizing VooPoo's Dual-In-One tech to deliver dense, warm DTL draws from thick high-VG shortfills. The whole thing is zinc alloy and leather, feels solid without being heavy, and charges over USB-C at 2A.

If you have used a Drag before, this is the one that shrunk down without losing its power. Pirate Vapes ships it tracked with age-verified UK delivery.

Why vapers choose this:

  • 80W from a kit that fits in a jacket pocket. Zinc alloy build, not plastic.

  • GENE.TT 2.0 chip with SMART mode that reads the coil and sets the wattage for you.

  • Replaceable 18650 battery. When it dies, swap it. No waiting around for a charge.

  • Twist-the-pod airflow that goes from a wide-open DTL to a tight restricted DTL without a single slider or dial.

  • ECO mode squeezes an extra 10% of battery life when you are running low.

  • Full PnP coil compatibility. You are not locked into two coils forever.

VooPoo Drag H80S Pod Kit Colours

Eleven finishes. All on the same zinc alloy and leather body. The newer colours are the ones retailers have been stocking more recently, but the originals are still around.

VooPoo Drag H80S Pod Kit Features

Smaller Than You Expect, Heavier Than It Looks

VooPoo says it is 15% smaller than the Drag X, and it shows. The body is 26mm wide, which is narrow for a kit that takes an 18650. You notice it immediately when you pick it up. It feels thin and pocketable, but there is real weight behind it because of the zinc alloy. That is not a complaint. It feels substantial, like a proper bit of hardware rather than a disposable you will chuck in six weeks. The leather grip panel sits flush with the metal, and the edges are sharper and more angular than previous Drag kits. It suits thumb-firing naturally.

The Airflow Is Actually Clever

Most pod kits with "rotate to adjust" airflow give you a vaguely tighter or looser draw and call it a day. This one is different. There is a hidden mechanism underneath the pod: when you twist it, it physically rotates an airflow ring inside the mod with asymmetric air inlets. You can open a single slot or a dual slot depending on how far you turn. The resistance to turning is firm enough that it stays where you put it, even when you pull the pod off and refit it. You can go from a loose DTL to a fairly tight restricted DTL, and every position in between feels deliberate and distinct.

GENE.TT 2.0 and Three Modes

SMART mode reads the coil you fit and sets the wattage automatically. For most people, that is all you will ever need. It will not let you push the coil beyond its recommended range, so you are not going to burn it out on day one. RBA mode unlocks the full 5 to 80W range for anyone who wants manual control or is using a rebuildable PnP coil. ECO mode kicks in when the battery drops below 40% and stretches the remaining charge out by roughly 10%. It pulse-throttles the power, so the vape is a bit weaker, but you get noticeably longer before it dies. Handy when you are out without a spare battery.

Replaceable 18650 Battery

A lot of pod kits have built-in batteries. When they die, the kit is done. The Drag H80S uses a removable 18650, which means you can carry a spare and swap it in thirty seconds. The magnetic battery door is genuinely well designed. The edges tuck inside the mod body so it sits completely flush, no rattle, no gaps. VooPoo has put a positive terminal marking in silver on the plastic so you get the polarity right first time.

PnP Pod II

The pod is PCTG, holds 2ml under UK TPD rules, and fills from the top by unscrewing the drip tip a quarter turn. Grip the pod, twist the mouthpiece, lift it off, and fill through the silicone-gasketed port underneath. It is clean and mess-free once you get the knack of it. The pod clicks onto the mod magnetically and sits firmly. A spare MTL drip tip is included in the box if you prefer a narrower bore for tighter draws.

What E-Liquid to Use

Because the Drag H80S is a high-powered sub-ohm machine running up to 80W, it needs the right fuel. The included PnP-TW mesh coils are strictly designed for thick, High-VG E-Liquids (70/30 or 80/20 shortfills). The internal organic cotton and wicking channels are optimized to feed thick juice quickly during deep direct-to-lung (DTL) draws.

Avoid thin 50/50 Freebase Juices or high-strength nic salts entirely. Vaping high-nicotine salts at 60W or 70W will deliver an agonizingly harsh throat hit, while the thin consistency of 50/50 liquid will immediately flood the coil structure, resulting in hot juice spitting into your mouth and leaking out of the airflow vents.

If you want to use nic salts on this device, you will need to purchase higher-resistance PnP coils (like the TM or TR series) separately. Browse our shortfill e-liquid range at Pirate Vapes to find the perfect sub-ohm match for your new kit.

How to Set Up the VooPoo Drag H80S Pod Kit

  1. Open the magnetic battery door on the back. Fit an 18650 battery with the positive end matching the marking inside. Close the door.

  2. Push a PnP-TW coil into the base of the PnP Pod II until it clicks.

  3. Unscrew the drip tip a quarter turn, lift it off, and fill the pod with up to 2ml of e-liquid through the fill port. Press the drip tip back on and twist to seal.

  4. Leave the pod standing for five to ten minutes so the coil soaks.

  5. Click the pod onto the device. Press the fire button five times to turn on. SMART mode will read the coil and set the wattage. Twist the pod to set the airflow. Vape.

If you skip the soaking step, you will burn the coil on the first draw. Do not do that.

About VooPoo

VooPoo built the Drag series into one of the most recognised names in UK vaping. The original Drag mod was known for the GENE chip and solid zinc alloy build, and the H80S carries both of those things forward in a smaller, more refined body. The PnP coil platform means you are not stuck hunting for obscure coils once the two in the box are done.

Any PnP coil works, whether that is the newer TW range or the older VM and TM coils. VooPoo's Kit quality has been consistently good for years, and spares are widely stocked. That matters more than most things when you are buying a kit you plan to use daily.

Stock Up and Save

The kit comes with two coils, which will last you a few weeks at most. After that, you are buying replacements regularly. Grab a five-pack of PnP-TW coils, an 18650 battery, and a bottle of nic salt or 50/50 with the kit, and your first month is covered.

Pirate Vapes sends everything in plain packaging, tracked to your door, age-verified checkout, and 18+ delivery. Crew Rewards points build up with every order. And if you want coils arriving automatically, set up The Crow's Nest at Pirate Vapes, and they come on repeat with a saving.

Conclusion

The Drag H80S is a proper pod mod that feels like it costs more than it did. 80W through a GENE.TT 2.0 chip, replaceable 18650 battery, genuine twist-to-adjust airflow that goes from wide DTL to tight RDTL, zinc alloy and leather build that fits in a jacket pocket. It ships with two PnP-TW mesh coils and takes the entire PnP range, so you can run it however you vape.

The pod fills cleanly from the top, ECO mode stretches your battery, and SMART mode makes sure you do not burn a coil on day one. Grab one from Pirate Vapes with tracked, age-verified UK delivery.

FAQs

Does the kit come with a battery?

No. It takes a single 18650, sold separately. Any reputable 18650 rated at 20A or above will work. Pirate Vapes stocks 18650 batteries alongside the kit.

What coils does it use?

It ships with PnP-TW30 (0.3Ω) and PnP-TW15 (0.15Ω). The PnP Pod II is compatible with the full PnP coil range, including TW, VM, TM, TR, DW, and C1. That gives you MTL, RDTL, and DTL options.

What e-liquid should I use?

The PnP-TW coils that ship with the kit require high-VG shortfills (70/30 or higher). Do not use thin 50/50 nic salts at these high wattages, as they will cause immediate flooding, spitting, and leaking. Match your liquid to the coil: thick shortfills for the included TW mesh coils, and thinner liquids only if you purchase lower-wattage MTL PnP coils separately.

How do I adjust the airflow?

Twist the pod. There is a mechanism inside the mod that rotates an airflow ring when you turn the pod. It goes from a wide DTL draw to a tight, restricted DTL. Firm enough to stay where you set it.

How long does the battery last?

Depends on your wattage and how often you vape. At 35W on the 0.3Ω coil, a 3000mAh 18650 will last most of a day. At 65W on the 0.15Ω, you will drain it faster. Carry a spare or use ECO mode.

What does ECO mode do?

When the battery drops below 40%, ECO mode throttles the power down to squeeze roughly 10% more vaping time out of what is left. The vape is weaker, but it keeps you going until you can charge or swap the battery.

Is it button-fire or draw-activated?

Button-fire only with the upgraded PnP Pod II. Five clicks to turn on, then press the button to vape.

Can I charge it with USB-C?

Yes. 5V/2A USB-C charging. A cable is included. Takes roughly 45 to 60 minutes from low depending on the battery.

How big is it?

123mm tall, 26mm wide, 32mm deep. About 122g without the battery. Noticeably smaller than the Drag X.

Is this the same as the Drag S or Drag X?

No. The H80S is a newer design with a different pod (PnP Pod II), the GENE.TT 2.0 chip, and the twist-to-adjust airflow system. It uses the same PnP coil platform, though, so your coils carry over.
