Aspire Tigon Replacement Coils | Pack of 5

Three resistance options in one coil family. The Aspire Tigon coils cover DTL, sub-ohm mesh, and MTL Vaping in a single push-fit platform designed exclusively for the Aspire Tigon Kit and Tigon Tank. The 0.4-ohm runs nichrome wire at 23-28W for a warm DTL draw.

The 0.7-ohm uses a kanthal mesh element at 20-25W for richer flavour with sub-ohm clouds. The 1.2-ohm drops to 10-12W for a tight MTL pull that works well with nic salts. Push-fit installation means no threading and no mess. Five coils per pack at Pirate Vapes. TPD compliant. Over 18s only.

Why vapers choose the Aspire Tigon Replacement Coils:

  • Push-fit coil changes with no threading and no mess. The Tigon coil system is one of the cleanest to swap on the market. Pull the old coil straight down and out, push the new one up until it seats. No screwing, no cross-threading, no leaked e-liquid running over your fingers. The whole process takes about ten seconds.

  • Three resistance options in one platform covering MTL and DTL without buying a different tank. The 1.2-ohm handles tight MTL draws with nic salts. The 0.4-ohm handles open DTL clouds with high VG freebase. The 0.7-ohm mesh sits in between with stronger flavour. You pick the coil, not the tank.

  • The 0.7-ohm mesh coil genuinely improves flavour over the standard wire options. Kanthal mesh heats e-liquid across a wider surface than the round nichrome wire in the 0.4 and 1.2-ohm coils. The result is a more even extraction of flavour notes. If you have only tried the original 0.4 and 1.2, the mesh option is worth testing.

  • Aspire's Scratch and Check security code on every pack confirms authenticity. Counterfeit coils are a real problem in the UK vape market, and Aspire addresses it by putting a scratchable code on each box that you verify on their website. If the code checks out, you know the coils are genuine.

  • The coils are tuned specifically for the Tigon Tank's airflow and chamber. Because these coils only fit one tank, Aspire was able to optimise the wicking, wire gauge, and coil geometry for the Tigon's specific airflow channels. The 1.2-ohm in a Tigon draws tighter and more consistently than a generic 1.2-ohm coil in a multi-platform tank would.

Aspire Tigon Replacement Coils | Pack of 5 Features

Push-Fit Leak-Free Coil Installation

No threading. No mess. The Tigon coil pushes straight into the base of the tank and seats with a firm click. When it is time to swap, pull the old one straight out. The push-fit design creates a tighter seal than threaded coils, which reduces the leaking that often happens with screw-in systems when threads wear down or get cross-threaded over time.

Nichrome Wire (0.4 ohm and 1.2 ohm)

Both the DTL and MTL wire coils use high-grade nichrome, which heats faster than kanthal and delivers a slightly warmer flavour profile. The 0.4-ohm runs at 23-28W for open draws. The 1.2-ohm runs at 10-12W for tight cigarette-style pulls. Nichrome's quick ramp-up time means the coil reaches temperature almost immediately after you press the fire button.

Kanthal Mesh Element (0.7 ohm)

The 0.7-ohm coil uses a flat kanthal mesh strip instead of round wire. Mesh covers a larger surface area, which means more liquid gets heated per draw and the flavour comes through more clearly. It runs at 20-25W and sits in the sub-ohm DTL range, but with a tighter and more flavour-focused draw than the 0.4-ohm wire coil delivers.

Organic Cotton Wicking

All three Tigon coils use organic cotton wicking that absorbs e-liquid quickly and delivers clean, unaltered flavour from the first puff. Cotton quality matters because low-grade wicking adds a papery or muted taste to the vapour, especially during the break-in period. Aspire's cotton primes in about five minutes and produces clean flavour from the start.

Scratch and Check Authenticity Code

Every pack of Aspire Tigon coils ships with a scratch panel on the packaging. Scratch it to reveal a code, then enter it on Aspire's verification page to confirm the coils are genuine. Counterfeit coils are widespread in the UK market and often use lower-grade materials that burn out faster and taste worse. This code gives you a quick way to verify before you install.

Aspire Tigon Replacement Coils | Pack of 5 Resistance List

Three coil options for the Tigon Tank. Each one changes the character of the device significantly. If you own the Tigon Kit and have only tried the coil that came in the box, swapping to a different resistance is the cheapest way to see if you prefer a tighter or looser draw without buying new hardware.

  • 1.2 ohm: Tight MTL draw, feels most like a cigarette. Nichrome wire. Pairs with 50/50 or high PG nic salts at 10-20mg. Low power means the battery lasts longer too

  • 0.7 ohm Mesh: The flavour coil. Kanthal mesh heats e-liquid more evenly for richer taste. Sub-ohm DTL but tighter than the 0.4. Works with 50-70% VG

  • 0.4 ohm: Open DTL clouds. Nichrome wire. Best with high VG freebase at 3-6mg for warm, full vapour

How to Set Up the Aspire Tigon Replacement Coils | Pack of 5

  1. Unscrew the tank base. Hold the Tigon Tank and twist the base section anti-clockwise until it comes free. The old coil stays attached to the base.

  2. Remove the old coil. Grip the coil body and pull it straight down and out of the base. No twisting needed. Discard the used coil.

  3. Prime the new coil. Put a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton visible through the side ports of the new coil. This saturates the wicking before installation and prevents a dry hit on your first draw.

  4. Push the new coil in. Align the new coil with the base and push it straight up until it clicks firmly into place. The push-fit design means there is only one correct orientation.

  5. Reassemble the tank. Screw the base back onto the tank body. Finger-tight is enough. Do not over-tighten.

  6. Fill. Unscrew the top cap of the Tigon Tank and pour your e-liquid down the inside wall of the glass. Avoid the central airflow tube. Fill to the line. Close the cap.

  7. Wait. Let the filled tank sit for five minutes so the cotton fully absorbs the liquid. Skipping this step risks burning the cotton on the first draw, and once burnt it stays burnt.

  8. Vape. Reattach the tank to your battery and fire normally.

What's in the Aspire Tigon Replacement Coils | Pack of 5 Box

Five Aspire Tigon coils of the same resistance (0.4 ohm, 0.7 ohm, or 1.2 ohm depending on which pack you order). Each coil is individually wrapped. One Scratch and Check authenticity card. No tank, no device, no e-liquid included. These are Replacement Coils only. You need an Aspire Tigon Tank to use them.

Designed Exclusively for the Aspire Tigon Tank

The Tigon coils fit one tank and one tank only. This is not a cross-platform coil system. They are built for the Aspire Tigon Tank (which ships with the Aspire Tigon Kit) and nothing else.

Works with:

The Aspire Tigon Tank in both its 2ml TPD and 3.5ml standard configurations, and the Aspire Tigon Kit battery. The push-fit connection is the same across all Tigon Tank versions regardless of capacity.

Does not fit:

Aspire Nautilus tanks or coils (completely different coil platform), Aspire Cleito tanks or coils (different threading and size), Aspire PockeX Coils (different system), Aspire Guroo coils, or any third-party tank. If you own a different Aspire tank, check which coil family it uses before ordering.

About Aspire

Aspire has been in the vape industry since 2013 and built their reputation on the Nautilus tank, which became one of the defining MTL Tanks of the early vaping era. The Tigon range sits alongside the Nautilus and PockeX as one of their core platforms aimed at MTL and light DTL vapers.

Aspire's coils are manufactured with Scratch and Check authentication, which gives UK buyers a way to verify they are not installing counterfeit coils. The Tigon coils specifically use nichrome and kanthal wire with organic cotton wicking. Browse the full Aspire Vapes collection at Pirate Vapes.

Stock Up and Save

Five coils per pack. At one to two weeks per coil with moderate use, a single pack covers roughly five to ten weeks. But sweet e-liquids burn through coils faster, and if the Tigon is your daily device, running out of coils mid-week means going back to a burnt-tasting coil until the next order arrives.

Grabbing two packs alongside a bottle of nic salt keeps you covered for months. At Pirate Vapes, we stock all three Tigon resistances and pack every order carefully. Every product is TPD compliant and sold through age-verified checkout. Same-day dispatch before 4pm. Free Pirate Vapes over £25.

Conclusion

The Aspire Tigon coils do one thing well: they give the Tigon Tank three genuinely different vaping styles in a single push-fit coil family. The 1.2-ohm is one of the tightest, most cigarette-like MTL coils on the market.

The 0.7-ohm mesh brings noticeably richer flavour at sub-ohm wattages. The 0.4-ohm handles open DTL clouds. And the push-fit installation makes coil changes cleaner and faster than threaded systems.

If you own a Tigon Kit and need fresh coils, these are the only ones that fit, and they are well worth keeping in stock. Order from Pirate Vapes and browse our replacement coils collection and Nic Salt E-Liquids to pair with them.

FAQs

Do these fit the Aspire Nautilus?

No. Tigon coils only fit the Aspire Tigon Tank. They are a completely different coil platform from the Nautilus, Cleito, PockeX, or any other Aspire tank.

Which resistance is best for nic salts?

The 1.2-ohm at 10-12W. It gives you a tight MTL draw at low power, which pairs well with nic salts at 10-20mg. The 0.4 and 0.7-ohm coils run too hot for high-strength nic salts.

How long does each coil last?

One to two weeks of daily use for most vapers. Sweet dessert e-liquids with heavy sweetener will shorten that. Fruit, menthol, and tobacco flavours tend to be kinder on coil life.

What is the difference between the 0.4 and 0.7 ohm?

Both are sub-ohm DTL coils, but the 0.7-ohm uses kanthal mesh instead of nichrome wire. Mesh heats more evenly and produces deeper flavour at a slightly lower wattage (20-25W versus 23-28W). If flavour matters more to you than cloud size, the 0.7-ohm mesh is the better pick.

How do I know if my coils are genuine?

Scratch the panel on the packaging to reveal a code. Enter it on Aspire's verification page. If it checks out, the coils are authentic. Counterfeit Aspire coils are common in the UK, so this step is worth doing.

Can I use high VG e-liquid with the 1.2-ohm coil?

Not recommended. The 1.2-ohm coil is designed for 50/50 or high PG liquids. High VG (70/30 or thicker) is too viscous for the small wicking ports and will cause dry hits. Use the 0.4 or 0.7-ohm coils for high VG.
