HorizonTech Falcon 2 Replacement Tank

A 25mm sub-ohm tank with a conical mesh coil rated at 0.14ohm and a recommended wattage of 70 to 75W. The HorizonTech Falcon 2 is built for DTL vapers who want dense clouds and strong flavour from a tank that can handle serious power.

2ml TPD-compliant capacity, stainless steel body, reinforced Pyrex glass, resin widebore drip tip, and a slide-to-fill top cap that keeps refills clean. Two Sector Mesh coils in the box, one already installed. Compatible with any Vape Mod that runs a 510 thread and outputs at least 70W. Five colour options. Over 18s only.

Why vapers choose the Falcon 2 Tank:

  • Conical mesh coil architecture compresses vapour through a tapered structure before it reaches your mouth, concentrating flavour density in a way flat mesh does not replicate

  • Push-fit coil changes take seconds, no threading, no cross-threading, no tools needed

  • Slide-to-fill top cap reveals a wide juice port that accepts most bottle nozzles without removing the tank from your mod

  • Wood pulp and cotton wicking feeds liquid faster than standard cotton alone, which matters at 70W+

  • Five finishes and a 25mm base that fits comfortably on most modern box mods without overhang

HorizonTech Falcon 2 Replacement Tank Features

The Conical Mesh Design Changes How Flavour Reaches You

Most mesh coils lay flat. The Falcon 2 Sector Mesh coil is shaped like a cone, narrowing toward the top. That taper compresses the vapour path and forces more contact between the heated mesh and your e-liquid before the vapour exits through the drip tip.

Practically speaking? You get a warmer, denser, more flavour-forward draw than a standard flat mesh coil at the same wattage. The difference is noticeable from the first fill.

Push-Fit Coils: No More Cross-Threading

HorizonTech ditched the screw-in coil design from the original Falcon. The Falcon 2 uses a push-and-pull system. You grip the spent coil, pull it out, and push the fresh one into the base until it clicks. No rotating, no risk of stripping threads, no alignment issues. Clean hands, ten-second swap. It is genuinely one of the fastest coil changes on any Sub-Ohm Vape Tank.

That Wood Pulp Wicking, Though

Cotton wicking is standard. HorizonTech adds wood pulp fibre to the cotton in their Sector Mesh coils, and the combination wicks faster and more consistently than cotton alone.

At 70 to 75W, a pure cotton wick can struggle to keep up during chain vaping. The blended material absorbs and delivers liquid quicker, which reduces dry hits and keeps flavour stable even when you are pulling back-to-back draws.

Slide-to-Fill Top Cap Keeps Things Simple

No unscrewing. No removing the tank from your mod. Press the top cap, slide it open, and a large fill port appears. Fill with your preferred High VG E-liquid, slide it shut. The mechanism locks flush and holds its seal. Refilling while driving, walking, or otherwise busy becomes significantly less awkward with this system.

Dual-Slotted Bottom Airflow Does Its Job

Two slots on the base ring control the draw. Open them fully for a wide, airy DTL hit with maximum cloud output. Close them partially for a warmer, more restricted draw with slightly more flavour concentration. The airflow ring turns smoothly and stays where you set it. Nothing revolutionary, but it works reliably and does not loosen in your pocket.

How to Set Up the HorizonTech Falcon 2 Replacement Tank

Quick assembly. The push-fit system means you can go from box to vaping in under five minutes.

  1. If a coil is not already installed, take a Sector Mesh 0.14ohm coil from the box and push it firmly into the base of the tank until it clicks into position. You will feel it seat.

  2. Apply four to five drops of e-liquid directly onto the exposed cotton visible through the coil's wicking ports. Rotate the coil and add a couple more drops to each side. The wood pulp cotton is denser than standard wicking, so do not rush this step.

  3. Slide open the top cap, fill the tank with high VG e-liquid (70/30 or higher recommended) to just below the fill line, and close the cap until it clicks shut.

  4. Attach the tank to your mod via the 510 thread. Hand-tighten only.

  5. Leave the tank upright for a full eight minutes. The blended wood pulp wicking material absorbs at a different rate than pure cotton, and it needs those extra minutes to fully saturate from the base upward. Firing the coil before the wick is soaked will char the wood pulp permanently, and the burnt taste does not recover.

  6. Set your mod to 60W and take three to four gentle draws. Increase to 70W over the next few puffs and settle into the 70 to 75W sweet spot.

What's in the HorizonTech Falcon 2 Replacement Tank Box

  • One Falcon 2 tank with a pre-installed 0.14ohm Sector Mesh coil

  • one spare coil in the same resistance,

  • a user manual,

  • and a warranty card.

No e-liquid, no mod. You will also need Replacement Tank Glass if you want a backup Pyrex section.

Built for Any 510 Mod That Reaches 70W

The 510 gold-plated connection on the Falcon 2 fits the vast majority of regulated box mods on the market. Anything from a single-battery 80W device to a dual-battery 200W+ mod will work. The 25mm base diameter sits flush on most modern mods without overhang.

What matters more than the mod itself is the power output. The 0.14ohm Sector Mesh coil is rated for 70 to 75W. Some users run it as low as 60W with decent results, but the coil was engineered for the 70W range, and that is where the flavour peaks. If your mod only outputs 40 or 50W, this is not the right tank for your setup.

Not compatible with MTL devices, pod kits, or pen-style batteries. This is a sub-ohm tank that needs sub-ohm power. The HorizonTech Coils are exclusive to the Falcon 2 and do not fit the original Falcon, Falcon King, or any other HorizonTech tank. Each generation uses its own coil platform.

About HorizonTech

The Falcon line put HorizonTech on the map. The original Falcon won multiple best-tank awards across vaping expos and review sites, largely because of how effectively the mesh coils delivered flavour at the time.

The Falcon 2 carried that forward with the Sector Mesh design: a conical mesh structure paired with wood pulp and cotton wicking that addressed the biggest complaints about the original coil's lifespan.

HorizonTech has stuck with this formula rather than chasing trends, and the Falcon 2 remains a popular choice among sub-ohm vapers who prioritise flavour density over feature lists.

Stock Up and Save

The Falcon 2 ships with two coils, but once those are spent, you will want fresh ones ready. At 70W with daily use, each coil lasts roughly one to two weeks depending on how sweet your e-liquid runs.

Picking up a spare pack of Pirate Vapes coils alongside the tank means you are covered for your first month without a second order.

All stock is TPD compliant, checkout is age-verified, and every order is for over-18s only. Same-day dispatch before 4 pm, padded packaging to protect the Pyrex during transit.

Conclusion

The Falcon 2 does one thing and does it well: high-wattage sub-ohm flavour from a conical mesh coil that compresses vapour for a denser draw than flat mesh alternatives. Push-fit coil swaps, slide-to-fill refills, and solid stainless steel construction keep the experience straightforward.

If your mod reaches 70W and you vape DTL, the Falcon 2 deserves a look. Browse more HorizonTech tanks and Vape Accessories at Pirate Vapes.

FAQs

What coils fit the Falcon 2?

Only the HorizonTech Falcon 2 Sector Mesh 0.14ohm coils. They push-fit into the base. The original Falcon coils, Falcon King coils, and any other HorizonTech coils from previous tanks will not fit. Each generation runs its own platform.

Does the Falcon 2 work for MTL vaping?

No. The 0.14ohm coil at 70 to 75W is a DTL setup. If you want a mouth-to-lung draw, you need a different tank entirely.

What e-liquid ratio works best?

70/30 VG/PG or higher. The wicking ports are sized for thicker liquids, and the wattage is too high for thin 50/50 blends. Sub-ohm vaping at this power with high-nicotine e-liquid will be harsh, so stick to 3mg or 6mg freebase.

How long do the Falcon 2 coils last?

One to two weeks with daily use at the recommended 70 to 75W. Sweeter e-liquids shorten that. Keeping the tank topped up and avoiding dry hits extends coil life noticeably.

Can I use the Falcon 2 on a pen-style battery?

Not realistically. Pen batteries rarely output more than 25 to 30W. The Falcon 2 needs 70W minimum to perform properly. A regulated box mod is the right pairing for this tank.

What is the Falcon 2 e-liquid capacity?

2ml under UK TPD regulations. The tank was designed with a larger international capacity, but all UK-sold units are limited to the 2ml standard.
