Innokin Adept Mod - Black is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Innokin Adept Mod
Drop it, splash it, throw it in a bag with your keys. The Innokin Adept Mod is built to shrug off the kind of daily punishment that kills most devices. It carries an IP67 rating for dust, shock, and water resistance, a 3000mAh built-in battery, and a deliberately simple power setup: no menus, no wattage maths, just four auto-selected levels tuned for MTL tanks.
Designed in collaboration with Phil Busardo, it tops out at 17W and runs a standard 510 connection. This is the mod on its own, no tank in the box, so browse the Box Mods range if you want to compare.
Why vapers choose this:
-
IP67 toughness that actually means something. Certified dust-proof, shock-absorbing, and water-resistant with the charging cover pushed in, so a knock off the sofa or a rainy walk will not finish it off.
-
No settings to wrestle with. It reads your coil and picks the wattage. Press to cycle four levels. That is the whole interface.
-
A genuinely big battery. 3000mAh goes a long way at MTL power.
-
Standard 510 thread. Any MTL tank you already own screws straight on.
-
Soft-touch grip. The rubberised shell sits well in the hand and does not skate off a table.
Innokin Adept Mod Features
Built to Survive Real Life
The IP67 rating is the reason this mod exists. It is rated dust-tight, shock-absorbent thanks to an internal silicone layer, and water-resistant for brief immersion. One catch worth knowing: it is only sealed against water with the charging port cover firmly in place. Leave that open, and the rating no longer applies.
So How Does the Power Actually Work?
The Adept reads your coil and sets the wattage for you across four levels. Fit a coil of 1.0ohm or higher, and it sits between 11W and 14W. Drop below 1.0ohm, and it climbs to 14W to 17W. No temperature control, no curves, no guesswork. You press the select button; it does the thinking.
3000mAh, and a Micro USB Port Underneath
The 3000mAh internal cell lasts most MTL vapers a full day, often longer. Charging is through a Micro USB port at the base at up to 2A, and a tri-colour LED shows you roughly how much is left. Worth flagging: this is an older, rugged design, so it is Micro USB rather than USB-C.
Bring Your Own MTL Tank
Because it runs a 510 connection, the Adept takes any mouth-to-lung tank you fancy, as long as the coil sits in its 0.4-3.0ohm window. It was tuned around Innokin's own Zenith and Z-coil tanks, where the auto-wattage reads cleanest. Explore compatible MTL Tanks to pair with it.
Where the Adept Fits in Your Day
This is not a cloud chaser and never pretended to be. It is a set-and-forget MTL workhorse for someone who wants reliable flavour and a tight draw without babysitting a screen. Load it up with the right Nic Salts at 10mg or 20mg, and it just gets on with the job.
Innokin Adept Mod Colours
Six soft-touch rubberised finishes, and they lean more outdoorsy than most mods. The rubberised coating is part of the grip, not just the look.

How to Set Up the Innokin Adept Mod
Mod only, so this assumes you already have an MTL tank ready to go.
-
Charge the mod fully through the Micro USB port at the base. The tri-colour LED shows the battery level.
-
Fit a fresh coil into your tank and put a few drops of e-liquid directly onto the coil's exposed wicking ports.
-
Screw the filled tank onto the 510 connection until finger-tight. Do not force it.
-
Press the fire button five times to power on. The mod reads the coil and sets a level for you.
-
Before your first draw, let the tank rest for around five minutes so the wick fully soaks and the coil does not scorch on the first pull.
-
Use the select button to step through the four wattage levels until the draw feels right.
What's in the Innokin Adept Mod Box
You get:
-
the Adept mod,
-
a Micro USB charging cable,
-
and the user manual.
That is it. There is no tank, no coils, and no e-liquid included, so you will need an MTL tank and a bottle of liquid to get going. If you are starting from scratch, a full MTL vape kit option might suit you better.
Made for MTL Tanks, Tuned for Innokin's Z-Coils
The Adept plays nicest with Innokin's Zenith-style tanks and the Z-coil range, because the auto-wattage system was built around those resistances. That said, the 510 thread means any mouth-to-lung tank will fit, provided its coil falls inside the 0.4-3.0ohm range and does not need more than 17W to shine. Keep a few spare Replacement Coils on hand, and you are set.
What it will not do is run a sub-ohm cloud tank properly. Those want 40W and up, well beyond what the Adept is designed to give. Keep it in MTL territory, and it performs exactly as intended.
About Innokin
The Adept comes from Innokin's Platform Line, a run of MTL-focused gear developed with reviewers Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis. That collaboration is why the range leans so hard into practical, flavour-first mouth-to-lung vaping rather than chasing spec-sheet wattage.
Innokin has long been a fixture in the MTL scene, and the Zenith and Zlide tanks built much of that reputation. The Adept is the rugged, no-nonsense mod half of that world: simple to run, hard to break, and clearly made by people who actually vape this way.
Stock Up and Save
Since the mod itself has nothing to replace, the running cost lives in your tank's coils and your liquid. Pairing the Adept with a solid MTL tank and a couple of spare coils sets you up for weeks of easy vaping.
Pirate Vapes dispatches every order the same day before 4 pm, packed to survive the post. All stock is TPD compliant, checkout is age-verified, and it is over 18s only. Free Pirate Post lands on orders over £40.
Conclusion
The Innokin Adept is a refreshingly simple mod in a market full of menus. A big 3000mAh battery, genuine IP67 durability, and an auto-wattage system that takes all the fiddling out of MTL vaping.
It is not for cloud chasers, but if you want a tough, dependable device that just works with your favourite mouth-to-lung tank, it is hard to fault. Take a look at the wider Innokin Range and matching Vape Accessories at Pirate Vapes.
FAQs
Does the Adept come with a tank?
No. This is the mod on its own. You supply the MTL tank, coils, and e-liquid.
What wattage does the Adept run at?
Between 11W and 17W, chosen automatically from your coil's resistance. Coils of 1.0ohm and up sit at the lower end, sub-1.0ohm coils at the top.
Is the Adept actually waterproof?
Water-resistant rather than swim-ready. IP67 covers splashes and brief immersion, but only with the charging cover pushed in properly.
What tanks fit the Adept?
Any 510 MTL tank with a coil in the 0.4-3.0ohm range. It is tuned for Innokin's Zenith and Z-coil tanks, which is where the auto-wattage reads best.
Can the Adept do big clouds?
No. It caps at 17W and is made for mouth-to-lung, not sub-ohm direct-to-lung.
How do I charge the Adept?
Through the Micro USB port at the base, at up to 2A. It is not USB-C, in keeping with the older rugged design.
