SMOK Scar Mini Kit - Black is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
SMOK Scar Mini Kit
A sub-ohm kit you can actually knock about. The SMOK Scar Mini pairs an 80W single-18650 mod with the TFV9 Mini tank, and the mod carries an IP67 rating against water, dust and drops. Power runs from 1W to 80W on the side buttons, with a 0.69-inch OLED reading out your settings.
The 2ml tank takes 0.15ohm V9 mesh coils for warm, cloudy direct-to-lung vaping. Worth knowing up front: the 18650 battery is bought separately. One of the more rugged Vape Kits SMOK has built, and a solid pick from Pirate Vapes for anyone rough on their hardware.
Why vapers choose this:
-
IP67, and it means it. Sealed against water, dust and knocks, so it survives building sites, festivals, fishing trips and clumsy mornings that would finish off a normal mod.
-
80W from a single 18650. Plenty of power for warm sub-ohm clouds without lugging around a twin-battery brick.
-
Top battery slot turns swapping the 18650 into a five-second job.
-
0.15ohm V9 mesh brings the vapour and flavour sub-ohm vapers actually want.
-
0.69-inch OLED keeps your wattage, battery level and coil resistance in plain sight.
SMOK Scar Mini Features
Built To Survive Real Life
The IP67 rating is the whole point of this kit. The zinc-alloy shell is sealed against dust, rated for short submersion, and shrugs off drops. If you work outdoors, or you are simply hard on your gear, most box mods do not last long. This one is made to.
What Does 80 Watts Get You?
Enough for proper direct-to-lung clouds. The single 18650 pushes the 0.15ohm V9 mesh coil into its sweet spot around 40 to 80W, where you get dense vapour and full flavour from High VG E-Liquids. An adaptive output feature holds the power steady as the cell drains.
The TFV9 Mini, Explained
Smaller and lighter than the original TFV9, the Mini holds 2ml and fills from the top under a child-resistant cap. Lift, twist, pour, close. The dual-slotted airflow ring at the base rotates open for an airier draw or tighter for a warmer one. Easy to live with day to day.
Swap The Battery, Skip The Wait
Because the 18650 lives in a top slot, you are not chained to a charging cable. Carry a charged spare, and you swap it in seconds, then vape on while the flat one charges elsewhere. Type-C onboard charging is there too, up to 1.5A, for the days you only run one cell.
A Screen That Tells You Enough
The 0.69-inch OLED is small but does the job. Your current wattage, battery level, voltage, and coil resistance sit there at a glance. No guessing whether the coil is reading right or the battery is about to fold mid-session. Honestly, more than plenty of pricier mods bother giving you.
SMOK Scar Mini Colours
The Scar Mini leans into that metal-and-leather look across a mix of solid, marble-effect and wood-grain finishes.

How to Set Up the SMOK Scar Mini
New coil, new tank, a few minutes. Prime it properly, or you will burn it.
-
Load a fully charged 18650 into the top slot, matching the plus and minus markings.
-
Unscrew the TFV9 Mini base and take out the old coil. Thread a fresh 0.15ohm V9 mesh coil in finger-tight.
-
Trickle 4 to 5 drops of e-liquid straight into the coil's exposed cotton ports until they look fully saturated.
-
Reassemble the tank, flip the top cap open and fill with high-VG e-liquid, then close it.
-
Stand the filled tank upright and leave it a full ten minutes so the mesh soaks right through before your first pull.
-
Set the mod around 40W, take a couple of gentle primer puffs, then climb toward 80W until it tastes right.
What's in the SMOK Scar Mini Box
Inside:
-
the Scar Mini mod,
-
the 2ml TFV9 Mini tank,
-
two 0.15ohm V9 mesh coils with one already fitted,
-
a Type-C cable
-
and the manual.
-
A spare glass tube is packed in too, which is handy given how often sub-ohm glass gets chipped.
No 18650 battery and no e-liquid are included, so add both before your first vape. Need a spare? A Replacement Tank Glass is worth keeping in the drawer.
Built Around The TFV9 Coil Platform
The TFV9 Mini runs on SMOK's V9 mesh coils, and the 0.15ohm version is the one you want here. Keep a few spare Vape Coils on hand, since a mesh coil at this power gunks up over a week or two of daily use.
On the mod side, the 510 thread means you are not tied to the TFV9 Mini. Any 510 tank up to around 25mm sits flush on top. What will not help you here: SMOK's RPM or Nord pods, which run on a completely different system.
About SMOK
SMOK built its name on sub-ohm hardware, and the Scar line is where a lot of that heritage lives. The Scar Mini is the compact, single-cell take on the larger Scar 18, keeping the rugged IP67 shell but shrinking it to palm size.
The TFV9 tank family carried on from the hugely popular TFV-series tanks that made SMOK a household name among cloud chasers. Between a sealed mod and a proven mesh tank, the Scar Mini is SMOK doing durable, no-nonsense sub-ohm vaping rather than chasing the newest gimmick.
Stock Up and Save
The catch with a removable-battery kit is that you need the battery, and ideally two. Pick up a charged spare from the Vape Batteries shelf, and you are never stuck waiting on a cable. Grab a couple of V9 coils at the same time so a burnt coil never ends your day.
Pirate Vapes ships every order with Free Pirate Post over £40, age-verified at checkout, over-18s only. All stock is TPD compliant.
Conclusion
The SMOK Scar Mini is a rugged, no-fuss sub-ohm kit for vapers who want clouds and flavour without babying their gear. IP67 sealing, 80W from a single 18650, and a proven mesh tank make it a dependable daily driver, especially if you are outdoors or heavy-handed.
You will need to add a battery and your e-liquid, but everything else is in the box. Browse the wider SMOK Range and stock up from the Vape Accessories shelf at Pirate Vapes.
FAQs
Does the Scar Mini come with a battery?
No. It takes a single 18650, bought separately. Any quality high-drain 18650 does the job.
What coils does the Scar Mini use?
The 0.15ohm V9 mesh coil. Two come in the box, one already fitted.
Is the Scar Mini good for beginners?
Easy to use, but it is a sub-ohm kit. Better suited to vapers who already know DTL vaping and low-strength liquid.
What e-liquid should I use with the Scar Mini?
High-VG shortfills at low nicotine, around 3mg to 6mg. High-strength salts are far too harsh through a 0.15ohm coil.
How waterproof is the Scar Mini really?
IP67 covers dust and brief submersion, so rain, splashes and drops are no problem. It is not built for a swim, though.
How long do the Scar Mini coils last?
Roughly one to two weeks on daily use. Sweeter, darker liquids shorten that as residue builds on the mesh.
