Freemax 904L M Replacement Coils | Pack of 3 - M1 Mesh 0.15 Ohm is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Freemax 904L M Mesh Coils
Five coil options across one range, all built with military-grade SS904L stainless steel mesh and Freemax's tea fibre cotton formula. The 904L M series covers everything from a modest 40W single mesh up to a 110W triple mesh that fills a room.
Three per pack, sub-ohm, DTL only, designed for High-VG Shortfills on the Mesh Pro, M Pro 2, and Maxus Pro tanks. If your Freemax tank has gone flat and the clouds have thinned out, pick the coil that matches how you vape and swap it in. Pirate Vapes ships them tracked with age-verified UK delivery.
Coil Options At A Glance
Five coils in the 904L M range. The difference is the mesh configuration: more layers of mesh mean more surface area, more vapour, and a higher wattage requirement. Pick based on how much power your mod can deliver and how much cloud you want.

Freemax 904L M Mesh Coils Features
SS904L Mesh Wire
904L is a grade of stainless steel originally developed for industrial and marine use. It resists corrosion better than standard 316L steel, heats more evenly, and holds up longer under repeated heating cycles. In a vape coil, that translates to cleaner flavour, less metallic taste on the first few draws, and a longer lifespan. Freemax was one of the first brands to use it, and the 904L M series is the result of several generations of refinement.
Tea Fibre Cotton
Freemax uses a cotton blend they call tea fibre cotton in the wicking. It is a mix of organic cotton and tea fibre, designed to absorb e-liquid faster and resist heat degradation better than standard cotton. The practical difference is fewer dry hits when you chain-vape and a slightly cleaner flavour profile, especially on fruit and dessert e-liquids where you want the sweetness without any background taste from the wick.
FM COILTECH 4.0
Freemax's fourth-generation coil technology. It combines the 904L mesh wire with the tea fibre cotton and a revised airflow path inside the coil body. The result is faster ramp-up time and more even heating across the mesh surface. You notice it most when you fire the mod after a pause: the vapour comes in fully formed from the first second, without the half-second lag you get on cheaper coils.
What E-Liquid to Use
High VG. 70/30 or thicker. These are sub-ohm DTL coils running at 40W and above, and they want thick shortfill e-liquids. Fruits, desserts, menthols, bakery flavours, whatever you fancy. Just keep the VG high. Do not put nic salts or thin 50/50 Liquids through these coils. They will flood the tank and spit. Browse our e-liquid range at Pirate Vapes for shortfills that pair well with sub-ohm tanks.
How to Replace Your Freemax 904L M Coil
-
Unscrew the base of the tank from the glass section.
-
Unthread the old coil from the base and bin it.
-
Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the mesh visible through the cotton ports on the new coil. That is priming.
-
Thread the new coil into the base until finger-tight.
-
Reassemble the tank, fill with high-VG e-liquid, and let it stand for five to ten minutes before vaping.
Prime it. Soak it. You know the drill. Skip that step and the cotton burns on the first draw.
What's in the Box
3 x Freemax 904L M mesh coils in your chosen variant (M1, M2, M3, M4, or M5). No e-liquid, no tank, no device.
Compatible Tanks
The 904L M coils fit the Freemax Mesh Pro tank, the Freemax M Pro 2 tank, and the Freemax Maxus Pro tank. They thread into the base of the tank in the same way. If you have a different Freemax tank, check the coil type before ordering. Not all Freemax coils are cross-compatible. You will find the tanks and these coils together in our Freemax Range at Pirate Vapes.
About Freemax
Freemax built its reputation on mesh coils. They were one of the first brands to bring mesh technology to sub-ohm tanks, and the 904L series is the latest evolution of that. The Mesh Pro tank is still one of the most widely recommended sub-ohm tanks in UK vape shops, partly because of the coil range and partly because the flavour is consistently good.
Freemax coils have a solid track record for longevity, and the tea fibre cotton wicking holds up better than most. If you are running a Freemax tank, these coils are the reason people stick with the brand.
Stock Up and Save

Add a shortfill alongside them, and your order is sorted. Pirate Vapes sends everything in plain packaging, with tracked delivery to your door, age-verified checkout, and 18+ delivery.
Crew Rewards points go on every order. If you want coils arriving automatically, The Crow's Nest at Pirate Vapes handles that with a saving.

FAQs
Which tanks do these fit?
The Freemax Mesh Pro, M Pro 2, and Maxus Pro tanks. They thread into the base. Not all Freemax tanks use the same coil type, so check before ordering.
What is the difference between M1, M2, M3, M4, and M5?
The number of mesh layers and the wattage range. M1 is a single mesh at 40 to 70W. M2 is a dual mesh at 60 to 90W. M3 is triple mesh at 80 to 110W. M4 is a quad mesh at 70 to 110W. M5 runs at 80 to 100W. More mesh means more surface area and more vapour, but also more e-liquid is used.
Which coil is best for flavour?
The M3 triple mesh at around 100W is consistently rated the best in the range for flavour. It uses more e-liquid than the M1 or M2, but the flavour density is noticeably higher.
What e-liquid should I use?
High-VG shortfills. 70/30 or thicker. Do not use nic salts or thin 50/50 liquids. These are sub-ohm DTL coils.
How long does each coil last?
One to two weeks for most people. Sweet e-liquids shorten the life. When the flavour dulls or you taste burning, swap it.
How many in a pack?
Three.
What is SS904L?
A grade of stainless steel with better corrosion resistance and heat distribution than standard 316L. It heats more evenly, tastes cleaner, and lasts longer.
What is tea fibre cotton?
Freemax's proprietary wicking material. A blend of organic cotton and tea fibre that absorbs e-liquid faster and resists heat degradation better than standard cotton.
Does Pirate Vapes stock the compatible tanks?
Yes. Freemax tanks and coils are both in our Freemax range at Pirate Vapes.
