Innokin GO Z Tank

A 2ml MTL tank for under a fiver. The Innokin GO Z is built from food-grade PCTG plastic, comes with a 1.6ohm Z coil pre-installed, and fits any mod or battery with a standard 510 thread. Sliding top-fill, bottom-adjustable airflow, and a 20mm diameter that sits flush on pen-style devices without any overhang. The coil is press-fit, not screwed, so swaps take seconds.

Compatible with Innokin's full Z coil range, which means you can run anything from a 0.5ohm restricted lung draw to a 1.6ohm tight cigarette-style pull depending on what you pair it with. Four colours in the store picker. Over 18s only. Browse the full range of MTL Tanks at Pirate Vapes.

Why vapers choose the GO Z Tank:

  • Z coil cross-compatibility means you are not locked into one resistance. The entire Innokin Z coil family fits this tank, from the 0.5ohm mesh right through to the 1.6ohm standard head, and replacements are widely available across UK retailers

  • PCTG plastic construction handles drops and knocks that would crack a glass tank. Lighter too, which matters on a pen-style battery where weight balance is everything

  • Sliding top-fill is faster than unscrewing a cap. Push the top open, fill along the inner wall, slide it shut. No leaking from misaligned threads

  • Under £5 retail. Genuinely hard to beat at this price point

  • Press-fit coil swaps take less than ten seconds. No threading, no alignment issues, no tools

GO Z Tank Features

Why PCTG Instead of Glass?

Drop a glass tank on a pavement, and you are buying a new one. The GO Z uses food-grade PCTG, a transparent thermoplastic that absorbs impact without shattering. It is lighter than glass, which keeps the centre of gravity low on pen-style mods. The trade-off is that certain e-liquids containing citrus or cinnamon compounds can cloud PCTG over time. Stick to standard fruit, menthol, or tobacco profiles and the tank stays clear. Fair trade for something this durable.

That Sliding Top-Fill, Though

Most budget Vape Tanks at this price point use screw-cap filling. The GO Z has a sliding mechanism with a silicone seal underneath. Push the cap sideways, and the fill port opens. No unscrewing, no cross-threading, no cap to fumble with in one hand. The seal keeps liquid locked in when closed. Simple engineering, well executed.

One Coil Platform, Dozens of Options

The Z coil range is one of Innokin's longest-running coil platforms. The GO Z ships with the 1.6ohm head, but the press-fit base accepts every Z coil Innokin makes. The 1.2ohm gives a slightly warmer draw. The 0.8ohm opens things up for a looser MTL pull. The 0.5ohm pushes into restricted direct lung territory if your mod has the wattage. One tank, multiple vaping styles, and you only need to swap the coil. Browse available Vape Coils to find your preferred resistance.

Bottom Airflow That Actually Adjusts

The airflow ring sits at the base of the tank and rotates smoothly between fully closed and fully open. For a tight cigarette-style draw, close it down to a sliver. For a slightly airier MTL pull, open it a quarter turn. The adjustment is precise enough to notice the difference between settings, which is not always the case on budget tanks.

510 Thread Fits Almost Everything

Standard 510 connection. The GO Z screws onto any mod, box mod, or pen battery that uses a 510 thread, which is the vast majority of devices on the market. At 20mm across, it sits flush on pen batteries and does not overhang on compact mods. If you already own a mod and just need a reliable MTL Tank for nic salts, this is one of the most affordable ways to get there.

How to Set Up the GO Z Tank

Quick fill, quick prime. Two minutes from box to first draw.

  1. Remove the tank from packaging and confirm the 1.6ohm Z coil is already press-fitted into the base. If you are installing a different coil, twist off the base, pull the old coil out, and push the new one firmly into place until it clicks.

  2. Place three to four drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton visible through the coil's wicking ports. Spread them across each port so the cotton is visibly damp on all sides.

  3. Slide the top cap open and fill with your chosen e-liquid. Tilt the nozzle against the inner wall of the tank and fill to just below the top of the centre post. Close the cap firmly.

  4. Screw the tank onto your mod or battery via the 510 thread. Finger-tight. Do not overtighten.

  5. Set the tank upright and wait a full seven minutes before your first draw. The Kanthal coil needs time to pull liquid through the organic cotton from every angle. Rushing this step chars the cotton permanently.

  6. Start at low wattage, around 10 to 14W for the 1.6ohm coil. Take a few gentle primer puffs, then adjust the airflow to your preference.

What's in the GO Z Tank Box

  • One Innokin GO Z tank in your selected colour with a 1.6ohm Z coil pre-installed.

  • One quick start guide.

No e-liquid, no mod, no battery, no spare coil in the box. If you want a backup coil ready for when the first one fades, pick one up separately. The Z coil range is sold in packs of five.

The MTL Tank for Any 510 Mod in Your Collection

The GO Z is designed as a standalone tank, not a kit-exclusive component. That means it works on virtually any device with a 510 connection

Pen batteries from the Innokin GO S, CoolFire Z50, and CoolFire Z80 are natural pairings, but it fits equally well on box mods from Vaporesso, Voopoo, Geekvape, and others. The 20mm diameter avoids overhang on most compact mods.

What it does not fit: devices that use proprietary pod connections instead of 510 threads. Pod kits from the XROS, Caliburn, and XLIM families use their own pod formats and will not accept a screw-on tank.

If you are on a pod system and want to explore tanks, you will need a mod with a 510 connection first. Check the Innokin Range for compatible devices.

About Innokin

The Z coil platform is one of Innokin's most significant contributions to MTL vaping hardware. Originally launched as the Zenith coil series, it has since been rebranded to the Z coil family and spans eight resistance options across MTL and restricted direct lung styles.

The coils are cross-compatible across more than a dozen Innokin tanks and pods, including the Zenith, Zenith II, Zlide, Kroma-Z, and the GO Z itself. That kind of coil ecosystem longevity is rare. When you invest in the Z coil platform, you are investing in a system that Innokin has supported and expanded for years, not a dead-end proprietary format.

Stock Up and Save

The GO Z comes with one coil fitted. One. At daily MTL use, a Z coil lasts roughly one to two weeks depending on sweetener levels in your liquid. Picking up a five-pack of replacement Z coils alongside the tank means you are covered for over a month without reordering.

Pair it with a few bottles of 50/50 E-Liquid, and you have a complete setup for well under £20. Every order from Pirate Vapes ships the same day before 4 pm. TPD-compliant stock, age-verified checkout, over 18s only. Free Pirate Post on orders over £25.

Conclusion

The GO Z is not trying to be a premium sub-ohm tank. It is a simple, affordable, durable MTL clearomiser that does exactly what it needs to do: hold 2ml of liquid, deliver clean flavour through a proven coil platform, and screw onto any 510 mod you own.

The PCTG body handles daily wear, the sliding top-fill is faster than most tanks twice the price, and the Z coil cross-compatibility gives you options well beyond the included 1.6ohm head.

If you want a reliable backup tank, a cheap MTL option for nic salts, or a first tank to pair with a new mod, the GO Z covers all three. Browse more Innokin hardware and vape accessories at Pirate Vapes.

FAQs

What coils fit the GO Z?

All Innokin Z (Zenith) series coils. That includes the 0.5ohm, 0.8ohm, 1.0ohm, 1.2ohm, and 1.6ohm heads. The 1.6ohm comes pre-installed. The practical range for this tank is 0.5ohm to 1.6ohm.

What e-liquid works best?

50/50 VG/PG or higher-PG blends. The wicking ports on the Z coils are sized for thinner liquids. Anything above 60% VG will struggle to wick properly and may produce dry hits, especially on the 1.6ohm.

Is the GO Z glass or plastic?

Plastic. Food-grade PCTG, which is transparent and shatter-resistant. Avoid citrus or cinnamon e-liquids as they can cloud PCTG over time.

Does it fit my mod?

If your mod has a 510 thread, yes. The GO Z is 20mm in diameter, so it sits flush on most pen-style devices and compact mods without overhang.

How often should I change the coil?

Every one to two weeks with daily use. Sweeter liquids shorten coil life because sugar residue caramelises on the cotton. When flavour drops, or you get a persistent burnt taste, swap it.

Does the GO Z come with a spare coil?

No. One 1.6ohm Z coil pre-installed, no spare in the box. Z coils are sold separately in packs of five.
