Aspire Nautilus X Tank

Forty-five millimetres tall. That is the entire tank. The Nautilus X is one of the most compact MTL Tanks Aspire has ever produced, and the reason it does not leak is that it does not have a bottom airflow hole at all.

The U-Tech coil system draws air in from the top, sends it down through one vertical Kanthal coil, around a U-bend, and back up through the second coil before reaching your mouth. Air passes the coil twice.

The base stays sealed. 2ml Pyrex glass tank, 510 thread, 22mm diameter, adjustable top airflow, top-fill, Delrin drip tip, 1.5 ohm coil pre-installed with a spare in the box. Two finishes: Black and Silver. Over 18s only.

Why vapers choose this:

  • U-Tech coil passes air through Kanthal twice via a U-shaped chamber. More flavour contact than standard single-pass coils.

  • Sealed base means no leaking. Top airflow only. The bottom of the tank has no holes. Gravity cannot pull liquid out.

  • 45mm x 22mm makes it one of the most compact MTL tanks on the market. Sits flush on any mod.

  • Top-fill with adjustable top airflow. Refill without removing the tank. Tighten or loosen the draw from the top ring.

  • Pyrex glass + stainless steel. Proper materials. Not plastic.

Aspire Nautilus X Tank Features

The U-Tech Coil Passes Air Through Twice and That Changes the Flavour

Standard coils pull air across the coil once. The U-Tech system routes air down one vertical coil, around a bend at the bottom, and back up through the second. By the time that air reaches your mouth, it has passed through the heating element twice. More contact time with the Kanthal means more vapour extracted per draw. The flavour is noticeably richer than single-pass coils at comparable wattage. Aspire developed this specifically for the Nautilus X, and it remains one of the more unusual coil designs in MTL vaping.

A Sealed Base Means Leaking Becomes Structurally Impossible

Most tanks leak from the bottom. Air comes in through base slots, liquid seeps out through the same path over time. The Nautilus X has no bottom airflow at all. The base is completely sealed. Air enters from the top of the tank instead, which means gravity is working against any liquid trying to escape. In practical terms, you can leave this tank on its side in a bag, in a pocket, on a desk, and the liquid stays inside. That reliability is the reason the Nautilus X built a following despite being a relatively simple tank.

45mm Tall Is Barely There

The Nautilus X adds 45mm of height to your mod. Most MTL tanks sit between 50 and 65mm. The difference is visible, and it is significant if you carry your device in a pocket or want a low-profile setup. At 22mm diameter, it sits flush on most mods without any overhang. The Pyrex glass section is short but clear enough to check your liquid level, and the stainless steel top cap and base keep the build solid despite the compact size.

Top-Fill Without Removing the Tank

Twist the top cap to expose the fill port. Pour in your 50/50 E-Liquid or nic salt. Twist the cap back. The tank stays on the mod throughout. No unscrewing from the 510 connection, no dripping liquid down the side of your device, no fiddling with bottom-fill ports. The fill hole is wide enough for most nozzle tips.

The Delrin Drip Tip Stays Cool at MTL Wattages

Delrin is a thermoplastic that does not conduct heat. At 14 to 22W through the 1.5 ohm coil, the stainless steel body of the tank warms up during extended use. A metal drip tip would transfer that warmth to your lips. The Delrin tip does not. It stays at room temperature regardless of how long you vape. Minor detail, but it matters during longer sessions.

How to Set Up the Aspire Nautilus X Tank

  1. The 1.5 ohm U-Tech coil ships pre-installed inside the tank. If you want to prime it before filling, tilt the tank and put a couple of drops of e-liquid onto the cotton visible through the coil's wicking ports.

  2. Twist the top cap to reveal the fill port. Pour in your e-liquid. Close the cap. Leave the tank standing upright for five minutes to let the Kanthal coil wicking saturate fully.

  3. Screw the tank onto your 510-threaded mod. Set your wattage to 14W and take a gentle first draw. Work up toward 20 to 22W over the next few pulls as the coil beds in.

  4. Adjust the top airflow ring to your preference. Tight for a firm MTL pull, slightly open for a looser restricted draw.

What's in the Aspire Nautilus X Tank Box

  • The Nautilus X tank with a 1.5 ohm U-Tech Kanthal coil already installed.

  • One spare 1.5 ohm coil

  • One Delrin drip tip

  • One replacement Pyrex glass tube

  • User manual.

No mod, no battery, no e-liquid. You need a 510-threaded mod and compatible e-liquid to use this tank.

Built for Nautilus X U-Tech Coils and Any 510 Mod

The Nautilus X uses Aspire Nautilus X U-Tech coils, available in two resistances: 1.5 ohm at 14 to 22W and 1.8 ohm at 12 to 16W. Both are Kanthal with organic cotton wicking. Replacement Nautilus X Coils are widely stocked. The coils are also cross-compatible with the Aspire Nautilus XS tank.

The tank screws onto any 510-threaded mod. At 22mm diameter, it sits flush on virtually every mod on the market. Set your wattage between 12 and 22W depending on your coil choice.

E-liquid: 50/50 VG/PG at 6mg to 20mg works best. Nic salts at 10 or 20mg pair well with the 1.8 ohm coil. Freebase at 6 to 12mg suits the 1.5 ohm. The U-Tech coil handles higher-VG blends better than most MTL coils thanks to larger wicking ports, but 50/50 remains the safest match.

About Aspire

Aspire has been manufacturing vape hardware out of Shenzhen, China since 2013, which makes them one of the oldest brands still actively producing. The Nautilus series is the product line that built their reputation: the original Nautilus BVC tank was one of the first genuinely good MTL tanks on the market, and the Nautilus X, Nautilus 2, Nautilus 3, and Nautilus XS have carried that legacy forward. Aspire also produces the PockeX, Gotek, Cleito, and Triton ranges. Browse the full Aspire Collection at Pirate Vapes.

Stock Up and Save

Two coils in the box. The spare buys you a couple of weeks, but after that you need more. Grab a five-pack of Nautilus X U-Tech coils alongside the tank, and you are covered for well over a month.

Every tank ships wrapped and cushioned to protect the Pyrex during transit. We verify age before dispatch, send tracked, and get orders out the same day when placed by 4 pm. Over 18s only. Reach £25, and Free Pirate Post handles your delivery.

Conclusion

The Nautilus X does two things that most MTL tanks do not: it passes air through the coil twice, and it seals the base completely so it cannot leak. At 45mm tall and 22mm wide, it is one of the smallest 510 tanks you can buy, and the U-Tech coil system produces richer MTL flavour than standard single-pass designs at comparable wattage.

If you want a compact, leak-proof MTL tank that fits any mod and runs on a proven coil platform, the Nautilus X is difficult to argue against. Pick one up at Pirate Vapes.
