Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils - 0.3ohm Mesh RDL is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils
Eight resistances. One coil shape. Twelve compatible tanks. The Innokin Zenith Z Coils press firmly into the base of every Zenith, Zlide, Zenith Pro, Zenith 2, Go-Z, Z-Biip, and Kroma-Z tank or pod Innokin has released. That is rare. Most coil families fit one or two devices. This one fits a dozen.
Sold in 5-packs with options covering tight MTL at 1.6 ohm all the way down to open DTL at 0.3 ohm, plus Plexus mesh and PLEX3D variants for vapers who want the fastest heating and longest coil life in the range. Pirate Vapes stocks every resistance. TPD compliant, over 18s only.
Why vapers choose Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils:
-
One coil fits twelve different tanks and pods. Zenith, Zlide, Zenith Pro, Go-Z, Z-Biip, Kroma-Z. If it is an Innokin tank that takes Z coils, these fit. Buy one pack and use it across multiple devices if you own more than one.
-
Eight resistances mean genuine choice. Tight MTL at 1.6 ohm. Standard MTL at 0.8. Mesh at 0.5 or 0.48. Restricted DTL at 1.0. Full DTL at 0.3. Pick the draw that matches how you actually vape, not whatever the Vape Kits happened to ship with.
-
Plexus and PLEX3D mesh coils heat faster and last longer. The mesh surface area is wider than round Kanthal wire, which means more liquid gets heated per puff. Innokin users consistently report the mesh variants holding flavour accuracy further into each coil's life.
-
5-packs at a price point that undercuts most pod replacements. Five coils, each lasting one to two weeks. That is potentially ten weeks of vaping from a single pack. Compare that to the cost of ten sealed pods and the saving is obvious.
-
Kanthal wire with organic cotton across the entire range. No mystery metals, no synthetic wicking. Every Z coil uses Kanthal heating wire and either pure organic Japanese cotton or a woodpulp and cotton blend, both of which deliver clean, neutral flavour without off-tastes.
Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils Features
Bottom Vertical Coil Design
The Z coil presses into the base of the tank from underneath. Unscrew the tank base, pull the old coil out, thread the new one in, screw the base back on. The vertical orientation means air flows up through the coil rather than across it, which Innokin claims gives a smoother, more consistent draw compared to horizontal coil designs. The coil sits below the liquid, so gravity helps keep the wick saturated.
Plexus Mesh Technology (0.5Ω and 0.48Ω PLEX3D)
Two mesh options sit in the Z coil range. The 0.5-ohm Plexus uses a flat mesh strip that heats faster than round Kanthal wire and covers a wider surface area. The 0.48-ohm PLEX3D takes that further with a three-dimensional mesh structure that Innokin rates at even faster ramp-up time and longer coil life. If you have only used the standard 0.8 or 1.6 coils, trying a mesh variant is worth the experiment.
Duo-Prime Dual Wicking (0.6Ω)
The 0.6-ohm Duo-Prime coil runs two parallel wicking channels instead of one. More cotton in contact with the heating element means the coil stays saturated more consistently, which reduces the chance of dry hits during chain vaping. This is the coil Innokin designed for vapers who take frequent, back-to-back draws without long pauses between puffs.
Multiple Wicking Ports on Every Coil
Every Z coil in the range, from the 0.3 to the 1.6, has multiple ports cut into the coil housing to allow liquid to reach the cotton from several angles. This is not unique to mesh coils. Even the standard Kanthal 0.8 and 1.6 have them. The ports help prevent the dry hits that happen when a single wicking channel cannot keep up with how fast you are drawing.
Universal Z Coil Form Factor Since Launch
Innokin has never changed the physical dimensions of the Z coil. A coil bought today fits perfectly into a Zenith tank from the original release. A coil bought for a Kroma-Z also fits a Zlide D22. This is not an accident. Innokin made the deliberate choice to keep one coil shape across every MTL and RDL tank they produce, and that decision is what makes stocking up practical.
Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils Resistances List
Eight options, three coil technologies, and draw styles from tight MTL to full DTL. The 0.8-ohm is the bestseller and the coil most Zenith and Zlide owners stick with long-term. The mesh variants (Plexus and PLEX3D) offer a noticeable step up in flavour and longevity if you have not tried them.
Bestsellers:
-
0.8Ω Kanthal (15-18W): The standard MTL coil. Warm, clean flavour with nic salts. Most popular in the range
-
1.6Ω Kanthal (9-12W): Tightest draw available. Cool, smooth, closest to a cigarette pull
Mesh:
-
0.5Ω Plexus (14-19W): Flat mesh design for faster heating and richer flavour than standard Kanthal
-
0.48Ω PLEX3D (13-16W): Three-dimensional mesh with improved ramp-up speed and extended coil life
Specialist:
-
0.6Ω Duo-prime (9-13W): Dual parallel wicking for chain vapers who need the coil to keep up with frequent draws
-
1.0Ω RDL (20-25W): Mesh coil designed for restricted DTL at a higher ohm. More vapour than MTL, more flavour than full DTL
-
0.3Ω Mesh RDL (30-40W): Full DTL with open airflow and visible cloud. Not compatible with the Adept Kit
-
1.2Ω Kanthal (10-14W): Standard MTL sitting between the 0.8 and 1.6 in draw tightness
How to Set Up the Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils
-
Remove the tank base. Unscrew the bottom section of your Zenith, Zlide, or compatible tank. The old coil should come with it or remain seated into the base.
-
Pull the old coil out. Pull the spent coil from the base. Discard it.
-
Put the new coil in. Take a fresh Z coil from the 5-pack, align the flat sides with the grooves in the tank base, and push it firmly straight in until it sits flush.
-
Prime the coil (optional but recommended). Drop 2-3 drops of e-liquid directly onto the cotton visible through the wicking ports. This saturates the wick before you fill the tank and reduces the chance of a burnt first draw.
-
Reassemble. Screw the base (with the new coil installed) back onto the tank body.
-
Fill. Add your e-liquid through the top-fill port on the tank.
-
Wait five minutes. Let the filled tank sit so the cotton fully absorbs the liquid. With mesh coils (Plexus, PLEX3D), give it the full five minutes. Standard coils can sometimes get away with less.
-
Vape. Fire at the recommended wattage for your chosen resistance. Start at the lower end and work up.
What's in the Innokin Zenith Z Replacement Coils Box
Each pack contains five identical coils at your chosen resistance. All five are the same type. No tank, no e-liquid, no device included. The coils are the only contents. Each coil is individually wrapped to keep the cotton clean and dry until you are ready to install it.

About Innokin
Innokin has been around since 2011 and the Z Coil Platform is one of the reasons their MTL tanks have such a loyal following. While other brands change coil formats every generation, Innokin has kept the Z coil dimensions identical since the first Zenith shipped.
That means someone who bought a Zenith three years ago can still walk into a shop and find coils that fit today. The Plexus and PLEX3D mesh variants pushed the flavour performance forward without changing the form factor. Browse the full Innokin vapes collection at Pirate Vapes.
Stock Up and Save
Z coils fit more Innokin Devices than any other single coil type. At Pirate Vapes, we carry all eight resistances so you are not stuck ordering just the 0.8 because everything else is out of stock.
A 5-pack covers five to ten weeks of daily use depending on how heavily you vape. Every coil is TPD compliant, MHRA-notified, and sold through age-verified checkout. We ship tracked. Same-day dispatch before 4pm. Free Pirate Post over £25.
Conclusion
Eight resistances, three coil technologies, and one form factor that fits everything Innokin makes in the MTL and RDL space. The Z coil family gives you genuine choice over how tight, warm, and flavourful your draw is, and the 5-pack pricing makes it significantly cheaper to run than sealed-pod systems.
If you own any Zenith, Zlide, or Kroma-Z device, these are the coils you need. The 0.8 is the safe starting point. The Plexus and PLEX3D are the upgrades. Grab a pack from Pirate Vapes and check our Innokin Vapes collection for compatible tanks and kits.
FAQs
Do these fit the Zlide tank?
Yes. Z coils fit every Zlide variant (Zlide, Zlide Top, Zlide D22) as well as every Zenith tank, the Go-Z, Z-Biip Pod, and Kroma-Z Pod.
What is the difference between Plexus and PLEX3D?
Both are mesh coils, but the PLEX3D (0.48Ω) uses a three-dimensional mesh structure while the Plexus (0.5Ω) uses a flat mesh strip. The PLEX3D heats marginally faster and tends to last slightly longer. Both outperform the standard Kanthal coils on flavour.
Can I use the 0.3Ω coil in my Adept kit?
No. The Adept kit does not have enough power to drive the 0.3-ohm coil properly. All other Z coil resistances work fine in the Adept. The 0.3 needs a higher-wattage device like the Coolfire Z80.
How long does each coil last?
One to two weeks is the average. Some users get three to four weeks with lighter use and less sweet liquids. Sweet and heavily flavoured e-liquids tend to shorten coil life. Tobacco and menthol are kinder.
What e-liquid should I use?
For the 0.8, 1.2, and 1.6-ohm coils: nic salts and 50/50 blends. For the 0.3, 0.5, 0.48, and 1.0-ohm coils: 60/40 to 70/30 VG works well. The 0.6-ohm Duo-prime handles both.
Are these the same as Jem coils?
No. Z coils and Jem coils are completely different form factors. They are not interchangeable. Z coils fit Zenith and Zlide tanks. Jem coils fit the Jem tank. Check which tank you have before ordering.
