GeekVape A Series Replacement Coils | 5 Pack - 0.8ohm is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
GeekVape A Series Replacement Coils
Two resistance options in one coil range, both built with hybrid mesh and designed exclusively for the GeekVape Z MTL Tank. The 0.8Ω runs at 12 to 16W, the 1.2Ω at 8 to 12W, and both deliver a clean mouth-to-lung draw on nic salts or 50/50 freebase.
Five per pack, push-fit installation, no threading or tools needed. When the flavour from your Z MTL Tank starts to dull, these are the replacements. Pirate Vapes ships them tracked with age-verified UK delivery.
Why do vapers choose this:
-
Genuine GeekVape hybrid mesh coils. Not third-party copies that leak, spit, or lose flavour after a day.
-
Hybrid mesh build heats evenly across the wicking material, producing cleaner flavour and a smoother draw than traditional wound-wire coils at the same wattage.
-
Two resistance options for two different draws. The 0.8Ω gives a slightly warmer, looser MTL hit with more vapour. The 1.2Ω gives a tighter, cooler draw closer to a cigarette. Pick the one that suits you.
-
Five per pack. Enough for a month or more of regular use, depending on your liquid and how heavily you vape.
-
Push-fit installation. No screwing, no threading. Pull the old coil out, push the new one in, prime it, fill, vape.
GeekVape A Series Replacement Coils Features
Hybrid Mesh Coil, Smooth Draw
Both the A0.8 and A1.2 coils use GeekVape’s hybrid mesh construction. The mesh element heats more evenly than a standard round-wire coil, which means the cotton saturates and vaporises e-liquid across a wider surface. The result is consistent flavour from the first draw to the last, with less chance of hot spots or uneven burning. At the low wattages these coils operate at, the draw is quiet, smooth, and well suited to MTL vaping.
Low Wattage, Long Battery Life
The A0.8 tops out at 16W. The A1.2 tops out at 12W. Both are easy on whatever battery your Z MTL Tank is paired with. You are not pulling 40W or 60W through the device, so the battery lasts a good while between charges. For vapers who use their kit steadily throughout the day without wanting to carry a cable, low wattage is a practical advantage, not a compromise.
Push-Fit Installation
GeekVape designed the Z MTL Tank with a plug-and-play coil system. No threading, no tools, no fiddling. Pull the old coil out of the base of the tank, push the new one in until it clicks into place, prime it, and fill. The whole process takes under a minute. It is one of the simplest coil-change systems on the market, and a strong reason why the Z MTL Tank remains popular with people who want reliability without the hassle.
What E-Liquid to Use
The A Series coils are MTL coils running at low wattage. They work best with 50/50 PG/VG freebase liquids or nic salts. Higher-PG blends are fine too. What you want to avoid is thick, High-VG Shortfill E-Liquid. The wicking in these coils is not designed for viscous liquid at 12 to 16W, and you will end up with dry hits and poor flavour. Browse our e-liquid range at Pirate Vapes for nic salts and 50/50 liquids that pair well with the Z MTL Tank.
Choosing Between the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω
The 0.8Ω runs at 12 to 16W. It produces a slightly warmer draw with a touch more vapour. If you want your MTL hit to feel a bit more open without crossing into restricted DTL territory, this is the one.
The 1.2Ω runs at 8 to 12W. It produces a cooler, tighter draw with less vapour output. If you want a vape that feels closer to a cigarette and uses less e-liquid in the process, go with this. It is also the better option for higher-strength nic salts where you want a restrained hit rather than a big cloud.
How to Replace Your GeekVape A Series Coil
-
Remove the tank from your mod or device.
-
Pull the old coil out from the base of the Z MTL Tank. The push-fit system means it should slide out without resistance.
-
Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the mesh and cotton visible on the new coil. That is priming.
-
Push the new coil into the base until it seats firmly.
-
Reassemble the tank, fill it with e-liquid, and leave it standing for five minutes before you vape.
Same rule as every coil: skip the soak, and the cotton burns on the first draw.
What’s in the Box
5 x GeekVape A Series replacement coils in your chosen resistance (0.8Ω or 1.2Ω). No e-liquid, no tank, no device.
Check Your Tank Before You Order
The GeekVape A Series coils fit the GeekVape Z MTL Tank. That is the confirmed compatibility. GeekVape makes several other tanks and pod systems across the Z, Obelisk, and Aegis lines, and the coil fitment is not cross-compatible between all of them.
If you are unsure which tank you have, check the name printed on the base or side of the tank. Pirate Vapes stocks the Z MTL Tank and these coils together in our GeekVape Range.
About GeekVape
GeekVape built its name on durable, well-engineered hardware. The Aegis line is famous for being shockproof, waterproof, and dustproof, and that build-quality philosophy runs through the rest of their range. The Z MTL Tank was their first dedicated Mouth-To-Lung Tank in the Z Series, designed for vapers who want a tight, flavour-focused draw without the complexity of sub-ohm setups.
The A Series coils are the only coils designed for this tank, and the hybrid mesh construction reflects GeekVape’s broader push toward mesh technology across its coil lineup.
Stock Up and Save
Coils are the part you reorder. Having a spare pack in the drawer means you are never stuck vaping on a burnt coil while you wait for delivery. Add a bottle of nic salt or 50/50 alongside the coils, and your order is sorted.
Pirate Vapes sends everything in plain packaging, tracked to your door, age-verified checkout, and 18+ delivery. Crew Rewards points go on every order. If you want coils turning up without thinking about it, set up The Crow’s Nest at Pirate Vapes, and they arrive on repeat with a saving.

FAQs
Which tank do these fit?
The GeekVape Z MTL Tank. They are not confirmed to be compatible with other GeekVape tanks, pods, or devices. The coil base and fitment are specific to the Z MTL Tank.
What resistances are available?
Two options. The A0.8 at 0.8Ω (12 to 16W) and the A1.2 at 1.2Ω (8 to 12W). Both are MTL coils.
What is the difference between the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω?
The 0.8Ω gives a slightly warmer, looser draw with more vapour. The 1.2Ω gives a tighter, cooler draw closer to a cigarette. The 1.2Ω also uses less e-liquid and less battery per puff.
What e-liquid works best?
50/50 PG/VG freebase or nic salts. Higher-PG blends work well too. Avoid thick high-VG shortfills. The low wattage and coil wicking are not designed for viscous liquid.
Is it MTL or DTL?
MTL. Both coils are designed for a mouth-to-lung draw. The 0.8Ω sits on the slightly looser side of MTL, but neither is a DTL coil.
How long does each coil last?
One to three weeks for most people. Sweet e-liquids shorten the life. When the flavour drops off or you taste burning, swap it.
How many in a pack?
Five.
Do I need to prime the coil?
Yes. Drop e-liquid onto the mesh and cotton, fill the tank, let it stand for five minutes. Skip that and the cotton burns on the first draw.
How do the coils install?
Push-fit. No threading. Pull the old coil out of the base of the Z MTL Tank, push the new one in until it seats. Under a minute.
Does Pirate Vapes stock the Z MTL Tank as well?
Yes. The tank and the coils are both in our GeekVape range at Pirate Vapes.
