Vaporesso Luxe Replacement Coils
Six GTX mesh coil options in one range, from a 7W tight MTL draw on nic salts to a 60W DTL lung hit on High-VG Shortfills. The Vaporesso GTX coil platform fits across the entire Luxe family, including the Luxe X, Luxe XR, Luxe XR Max, Luxe XR Max 2, Luxe X Pro, Luxe 80, and Luxe 80S, plus a long list of other Vaporesso kits that share the GTX coil standard.
Five per pack, all mesh, press-fit installation, and COREX heating technology for faster ramp-up and longer coil life. Pirate Vapes ships them tracked with age-verified UK delivery.
Why do vapers choose this:
-
Six resistance options covering MTL, RDTL, and DTL in one coil range. You do not need to change your device or pod to switch vaping style. Just swap the coil.
-
Genuine Vaporesso GTX mesh coils. Not third-party copies that leak, spit, or lose flavour after a day.
-
COREX heating technology with Morph-Mesh structure. Faster ramp-up, more even heating, and longer coil life compared to standard mesh coils.
-
Press-fit installation. No threading. Push the old coil out; push the new one in. Under a minute.
-
Five per pack. More coils per pack than most competitors at this price point. Enough for a month or more of regular use.
-
Fits across the Luxe family and beyond. One coil range works with the Luxe X, Luxe XR, Luxe XR Max, Luxe XR Max 2, Luxe X Pro, Luxe 80, Luxe 80S, Luxe PM40, Target PM80, GTX One, Swag PX80, Gen Nano, and more.
Coil Options At A Glance
Six coils in the GTX range are sold under the Luxe name. The difference is the resistance, the wattage, and the draw style. Lower resistance means more vapour, more power, and a looser draw. Higher resistance means less vapour, lower power, and a tighter draw. Pick based on how you vape.
- 0.2 Ohm GTX Coils
- 0.3 Ohm GTX Coils
- 0.4 Ohm GTX Coils
- 0.6 Ohm GTX Coils
- 0.8 Ohm GTX Coils
- 1.2 Ohm GTX Coils
The 0.4Ω is the most versatile coil in the range: moderate wattage, good flavour, decent vapour, and it works with most e-liquid types. The 0.8Ω is the go-to for ex-smokers and people stepping down from disposables who want a tight MTL draw on nic salts. The 0.2Ω is for vapers who want maximum cloud and flavour from a pod system running at higher wattage.
Vaporesso Luxe Replacement Coils Features
COREX Heating Technology
Vaporesso’s COREX technology combines a Morph-Mesh coil structure with Cumulus Cotton wicking. The mesh element has a larger heating surface than standard mesh coils, which means a greater proportion of the coil reaches optimal flavour delivery temperature on each draw. The cotton is made from microfibres that absorb e-liquid faster and more thoroughly. Vaporesso claims this improves vaporisation efficiency by 50% compared to their earlier GTX coils, which translates to better flavour accuracy and a longer coil lifespan.
MTL Coils: 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω
The 0.8Ω (12 to 20W) and 1.2Ω (7 to 11W) coils are built for Mouth-To-Lung Vaping. Tight draw, low vapour, strong throat hit. These are the coils for nic salts and higher-nicotine freebase liquids. The 1.2Ω is the tightest draw in the range and uses the least e-liquid and battery per puff. The 0.8Ω is slightly looser with a touch more vapour. Both suit ex-smokers and anyone who prefers a cigarette-style draw from a compact pod kit.
RDTL Coils: 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω
The 0.4Ω (26 to 32W) and 0.6Ω (20 to 30W) coils sit between MTL and DTL. The draw is looser than a cigarette but not a full open lung hit. Vapour production is moderate, flavour is strong, and e-liquid consumption is manageable. The 0.4Ω is the most popular coil in the GTX range for everyday use: balanced, consistent, and works well with both 50/50 and higher-VG liquids.
DTL Coils: 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω
The 0.2Ω (45 to 60W) and 0.3Ω (32 to 45W) coils are for direct-to-lung vaping. More vapour, more flavour intensity, more e-liquid consumed. These coils need high-VG shortfills (70/30 or thicker) and a device that can deliver the wattage. The Luxe 80, Luxe 80S, Luxe XR Max, and Luxe XR Max 2 all have the power to run these coils properly. The 0.2Ω is the maximum output option in the GTX Luxe range.
What E-Liquid to Use
It depends on the coil. The 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω MTL coils work best with 50/50 PG/VG Freebase or nic salts. The 0.6Ω RDTL coil handles 50/50 and slightly higher-VG blends well. The 0.4Ω is flexible: 50/50 or 60/40 VG both work. The 0.2Ω and 0.3Ω DTL coils need high-VG shortfills, 70/30 or thicker.
Do not put thick High-VG Liquid through the 1.2Ω or 0.8Ω. It will not wick properly and you will get dry hits. Do not put nic salts through the 0.2Ω or 0.3Ω. The high wattage and open draw will deliver too much nicotine too fast. Browse our e-liquid range at Pirate Vapes for nic salts, 50/50 Liquids, and shortfills to pair with your Luxe kit.
How to Replace Your Vaporesso Luxe Coil
-
Remove the pod from the Luxe device.
-
Pull the old coil out from the base of the pod. The press-fit system means it should come free without too much force.
-
Drip a few drops of e-liquid onto the mesh and cotton visible on the new coil. That is priming.
-
Push the new coil into the pod until it seats firmly.
-
Fill the pod with e-liquid, refit it to the device, and leave it standing for five minutes before you vape.
Same rule as every coil: skip the soak, and the cotton burns on the first draw.
What’s in the Box
5 x Vaporesso GTX mesh coils in your chosen resistance (0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, or 1.2Ω). No e-liquid, no pod, no device.
Compatible Devices
The GTX coil platform is one of the widest in the Vaporesso range. Confirmed compatible devices include the Luxe PM40, Luxe X (when using Luxe XR pods), Luxe X2 (when using Luxe XR pods), Luxe X3, Luxe X Pro, Luxe XR, Luxe XR Max, Luxe XR Max 2, Luxe 80, Luxe 80S, Target PM80, Target PM80 SE, GTX One, GTX One Pro, GTX Go 40, GTX Go 80, Swag PX80, Gen Nano, Gen PT 60S, Gen PT 80S, Xiron, Armour G, and Armour GS.
The coils press into the Luxe XR empty pods or the appropriate GTX-compatible pods for each device. Important: the Luxe Q, Luxe QS, Luxe Q2, and Luxe Q2 SE use integrated non-replaceable coil pods and do not take GTX coils. Pirate Vapes stocks the Luxe kits, pods, and coils together in our Vaporesso Range.
About Vaporesso
Vaporesso is one of the most established hardware brands in UK vaping. The Luxe family has been a bestseller since the original Luxe X launched, and the GTX coil platform is the thread that ties the range together. Six resistance options from 0.2Ω to 1.2Ω, all mesh, all press-fit, all sharing the same pod fitment.
Whether you run a compact Luxe PM40 or a full-powered Luxe XR Max 2, the same coils work across the board. That kind of cross-device compatibility is rare and is a strong reason why vapers stay in the Vaporesso ecosystem.

FAQs
Which devices do these fit?
The GTX coil platform fits the Luxe PM40, Luxe X (via Luxe XR pods), Luxe X2 (via Luxe XR pods), Luxe X3, Luxe X Pro, Luxe XR, Luxe XR Max, Luxe XR Max 2, Luxe 80, Luxe 80S, Target PM80, GTX One, Swag PX80, Gen Nano, Armour G, and more. They do not fit the Luxe Q, QS, Q2, or Q2 SE, which use integrated coil pods.
How many coil options are there?
Six. 0.2Ω, 0.3Ω, 0.4Ω, 0.6Ω, 0.8Ω, and 1.2Ω. They cover DTL, RDTL, and MTL vaping styles.
Which coil is best for nic salts?
The 0.8Ω or 1.2Ω. Both are MTL coils at low wattage, designed for nic salts and higher-nicotine freebase.
Which coil is best for clouds?
The 0.2Ω at 45 to 60W. It produces the most vapour in the GTX Luxe range. Use high-VG shortfills.
Which coil is best for everyday use?
The 0.4Ω at 26 to 32W. Balanced flavour, moderate vapour, works with 50/50 and higher-VG liquids. The most versatile option.
Can I use nic salts with these coils?
Yes, but only with the higher-resistance coils (0.8Ω or 1.2Ω). Do not use nic salts with the 0.2Ω or 0.3Ω DTL coils.
How long does each coil last?
One to three weeks for most people. Sweet e-liquids shorten the life. When the flavour dulls or you taste burning, swap it.
How many in a pack?
Five.
How do the coils install?
Press-fit. No threading. Pull the old coil out of the base of the pod, push the new one in until it seats. Under a minute.
Do the Luxe X pods and Luxe XR pods both work?
Luxe X pods have integrated coils that are not replaceable. Luxe XR pods accept replaceable GTX coils. If you own a Luxe X, you can use Luxe XR pods with replaceable GTX coils for more flexibility.
Does Pirate Vapes stock the compatible kits and pods?
Yes. Vaporesso Luxe kits, Luxe XR pods, and GTX coils are all in our Vaporesso range at Pirate Vapes.
